340 gone! Performance shop shut down! Help!

I'm glad you got the engine back; it's horrible how much they're lying; I hope you can get your money back too. At least the engine is there though cause it would be irreplaceable. Good luck!

    Junkyard date feels like Christmas

Heads up for everyone in the area - Ontario (off of Milliken) is having a half off sale on July 13th and 14th, and yeah go early like pishta says. The line was really crazy even though we got there at 7am. Been off of the website for a while since I've been broke and haven't done anything with...

    Junkyard date feels like Christmas

You're so lucky!! Mine originally came with a /6. Thank you, he's the one who really made it sound fun to go to the junkyard; I used to hate it haha.

    1973 Low mileage Dart Sport....

Could check it out if it's close and you have time to waste; I don't expect the car will be in good shape. It's sat for over 20 years and they probably didn't get all of the water out before it did a lot of damage. I would never buy a salvage title vehicle in case it ever needed to be sold.

All of you guys..been in my position:

I'm the same way; pretty much a beginner. I've always been around my dad working on cars and when I started dating my boyfriend 2.5 years ago I got a lot more into actually wanting to learn more. Well I just observe them work on the cars and I ask them to let me help, and they show me how to do...

Little project dad and I are working on!

Not sure if the last link works but that is really cool it's something you and your dad will really treasure. My dad and I did a few project cars and I'll always appreciate his time.

    Junkyard date feels like Christmas

On another note I'm still pretty grossed out with the rat but pretty glad there wasn't a hornet's nest in there!

    Junkyard date feels like Christmas

I only have a small picture of where we were concerned with the rust on the heads, but yeah it would have been nice if we would have gotten them. The core charge sucks but I guess I can't complain for the price we got everything. Here are some pics; pretty grimy. Lifter valley looked...

    Junkyard date feels like Christmas

It was at hillside in Riverside (the dreaded multiple levels haha). We got there at 7am and by 7:30 the line was around the parking lot. Our blanket was a couple of tires laying around during our water breaks :D. It was scary when the engine and trans were coming out because it was just the two...

    Junkyard date feels like Christmas

Hi everyone, well yesterday was half off day at pick a part so me and my boyfriend went to go look for a 727 trans for my future 440 plans hah. Well that junkyard is pretty small and we didn't see any older mopars until we got to the far corner of the yard. There was a "73" Chrysler New Yorker...

    Favorite high impact color? (1969-1971)

Sublime and Plum Crazy. However, if I had an older Challenger I'd paint it Panther Pink.

more than just a screen name

I'm bad at choosing screen names, so I kept it simple and just used "Tina" since that's what a lot of people call me. :)

Need help big big big time

Congrats on keeping it. I think you made a good choice since you know what's been done to the car and how it's been worked on and treated. I regret letting go of my '74 duster but now I have a '67 Barracuda and I'm happy. You could always save up for another car but you can't make more memories...

where do you buy your parts???

Ebay, summit, jegs, classic industries, ABS, craiglist (used or new, and shows what shops are around and the specials they have going on), and I use google to find the parts I need and shop around for the best reviews or deals. The website RetailMeNot usually has coupons for sites like summit...

Show Us Pictures of 2nd Generation Barracudas

67 Barracuda, father and daughter project. Mainly, I'm just a helper and he's the one who knows what he's doing. That's the original blue in very bad condition. It came with steelies so we got those 15" mags. We tried to use a pair of 14" rocket racing wheels but it was impossible...

Looked at an old Duster today

Good luck on getting the car, I hope they take your offer. It's going to take a lot of money to get the car started so hopefully they see it that way. It would look gorgeous all fixed up.
