It fits just fine with a tubular K. You can check my 63 Dart GT

Unfortunately there are not many choices. S & P makes a set of headers that shoot straight down, but will probably hit the k frame. Then you have TTI's expensive, and don't fit great. The srt8 manifolds will probably have a problem with the torsion bars, i doubt they will fit. Without an AlterK...

Anyone have any pic's or know how the side glass go's in a 63 Hardtop, ( how the regulator attaches to the glass ) It's been so long I forgot....:wack: Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Used 2 x 3 rect tubing,

I went with 285-40-18 the main reason was I wanted a taller tire. They are 27" tall compared to 25.5 for most of the other wide tires

Looking good, just a little tip, you do not have to weld everything solid, just some evenly spaced spotwelds will do the trick, that's how the factory did it......

The original fill tube from my 63 has a piece of metal dividing the tube in half. Don't know if it worked, never used it.

Steele sells the locking strips.

If you use an Alter K, it's an easy swap....

I have a new gasket and the glass seams to loose, plus I measured my original glass and the new one was 1/8" shorter..:wack:

Has anyone used a replacement windshield in their early A ? I tried putting mine in last night and it seams a little small......
