    Car Covers ?

Got the new cover. Fits much better. I still don't see how it will fully cover the rockers once I have side mirrors back on but clearly this is a big improvement over the first cover. (Which definitely was for a Duster, I just noticed when boxing up the first cover for return that there's a...

    2020 Barrett-Jackson prices?

It used to be if you wanted a classic Mopar and don't have tons of cash, B and E bodies are out. Same thing now probably, just the prices have all shifted up.

    2020 Barrett-Jackson prices?

Complete speculation on my part, but it seems obvious what's changed in demand now from 15, 20, 25 years ago is that back then if you wanted to go faster than most American production cars (i.e. 400HP+) one of the easiest ways to do this was take an old muscle era car and build it up. They were...

    Car Covers ?

Perhaps. After looking at abodyjoe's photos, mine doesn't fit right at all. Look at how the roof line is just a mess compared to how his conforms so much better to the car. But I think it's more than just the wheelbase. Length fits fine (although I don't have bumper on yet). These are custom...

    Car Covers ?

I did mention about side mirrors and antenna. Actually they asked about any modifications. (They had a photo of my car and I did mention the hood scoops, they said that's no big deal.) They don't offer with side pockets for mirrors on mine. And I'm covering it now without any chrome parts on it...

    Car Covers ?

So I purchased a Dustop California car cover for my 71 Scamp. It came in yesterday and put it on. It doesn't come down far enough to completely cover and protect the sides. Lower rear fenders, rocker panels and lower front quarters are not covered. Does anyone else have this problem?

    Let's see your Dodge pickups

First photo: My '95 Dakota, 318 5 spd (with my 71 Scamp). Owned it since 1996 and then sold it in 2015 to someone who ended up being another FABO member. Has over 250k on it but it rusted out pretty bad now. Second photo: My '88 D100, 318 2WD auto. I don't have it anymore but sold it to my...

    Bought a Van......

I like the rear door, single full door like the old station wagons, rather than the dual doors. Nice van!

Question...what covers, if any, should be avoided?

    Dantes parts

I've bought from Dante's. Nothing but good, and he's responsive to any questions you have. I will be back to buy from him again for sure.

Fair price for a '70 340 engine that needs rebuild

I bought my '71 340 in 2010, so for what it's worth this might help give an idea of prices today...I paid $1000 for a bare block that had been magnafluxed and all machining done to it, ready for .040" over pistons. Parts included with it were the TRW forged pistons, original forged crank...

I know this thread is old but I'm having my scamp done just like this in purple. Love it.

    current muscle car values

I screwed up back in the early 2000's. I had my original radiator, but somewhere before me the fan obviously collided with the radiator and gouged it good...yet it didn't leak. Anyhow, it ran hot so I had a new radiator put in it. It was just a mom and pop shop but they still just replaced with...

    Current Market ?

A guy just down the road from me had a 74 Scamp, new paint job but it wasn't to hide anything as you could tell it was really well kept. 318 with some mods but mostly factory...$13,000 was his asking price. Just needed a few interior pieces back in place (which were in the trunk). This 1967...

New classic car style bench seats?

That's it? I mean I figured the old springs just are what they are. My bench seat is in really nice shape and intact, I'd prefer to have bolsters added to it so you don't slide away on aggressive turns, and get it more comfortable and not bouncy when you hit the smallest bump in the road. I...

New classic car style bench seats?

Who makes some classic car looking bench seats that have modern built comfort? I would look into keeping a bench seat if the style procar 90 scat buckets existed in a bolstered bench seat version. TMI products makes a line of universal fit bolstered bench seats, but I don't care for the look and...

    Motor Monday

Just got the 340 home this past Saturday. Although it would look great in the Allis next to it...matching colors and all... it now awaits placement in my Scamp.

    HELLCATS at Carlisle

Well,Said. Thanks. That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. Lots of sour grapes out there. I know I can't afford a Hellcat or even close to that but I'm not going to stick my nose up at it.

Had a great time at Carlisle

Doing catch up here... Got to Carlisle this year for my second time. (Last time was 10 years ago.) Had a great time. Got to ride in a Hellcat, got to ride in the Hotchkis Autocross 70 T/A Challenger, and I bit the bullet and bought a sharktooth grille for the Scamp! This was fun...

    HELLCATS at Carlisle

Just getting back on here to post but I waited the hour to ride in a Hellcat on Sunday. It was impressive. The female driver was hammering it down the best I thought and was glad I got to ride with her. I'm just glad Dodge is finally doing something. Back in the 90's, they offered nothing for a...

    Old Dodge Trucks

I had a thread going asking about older daily driver trucks, but I'll post over here my new purchase. I sold my '95 Dakota 318 5-speed (which I had since '96) as it had taken its toll of Ohio winters and was rusted bad. I sold it to another member here, who is giving her new life though! Very...

Best older Dodge pickup for daily use?

Yep. It does have the small cracks/bubbles just above the wheel lip chrome trim on the bed, but it's still solid metal there. I'll have to keep on top of it to keep from worsening but I'm not sure how much I'll be driving it anyways to worry too much, particularly in the winter. Underside is...

Best older Dodge pickup for daily use?

Well for starters, things that need fixed asap: -Brakes (really mushy pedal, dash light comes on from time to time). He gave me a new master cylinder to put in, but it might just be a line leak. Haven't looked into it yet. -Heater (yeah, it doesn't get even warm, and the fan only blows up in...

Best older Dodge pickup for daily use?

I ended up buying my son's friend's truck. It's an '88 D100, 318 TBI w/904 and long bed. Wish it had OD as the rear gear seems pretty steep, but it'll suit my needs in the short term. Body on it is pretty darn clean for searching in Ohio/PA for a truck. It runs and starts great, but it has lots...

Best older Dodge pickup for daily use?

For what I'm in need of mostly, the /6 or 318 2WD will suit me. I found an '87 D150 near me, long bed w/318 auto (don't know yet if 3 spd or 4 spd OD). Has over 100k miles, looks fairly rust free but won't know for sure until I see it in person. I believe this is the last year or second to last...

Best older Dodge pickup for daily use?

Good to know, thanks. I was interested enough to Google Dodge D-series dump trucks and came up with a site that shows the /6 was available up to D500 size. http://www.sweptline.com/hist/bigtrucks.html

Best older Dodge pickup for daily use?

Northeast Ohio cold. "Normal" winters it doesn't go below zero, but it does happen. Last year was particularly colder and from the summer we had I expect about the same. I have a friend who drives a Ford E450 Ambulance (for football tailgating) and he has to keep an engine block heater on it...

Best older Dodge pickup for daily use?

Yeah I THINK I know what it is I want. Lol. Just checking to see if I'm way off base for what I want the truck for. I say daily, but as moper said it would be more like weekly for me as well. My son's friend bought an '89 Ram about a year ago, 2WD, 318, auto, 8' bed, 170k miles. I've not seen...

Best older Dodge pickup for daily use?

Yes I know all about the longevity and reliability of the Magnums. See my above post on that. The only things I care about that it must be is long bed. Not looking for the more popular short bed show truck. Just simplicity when working on it, low-maintenance, and that it drives and hauls...
