I agree with the above. Very gently with the cutoff wheel. When i put mine in I screwed it in place with a healthy bead of silicone. Works like a champ and when I take the trans out it is SO much easier. I just pop the cover off and I have a clear shot at the shifter bolts, rods, etc. It rules!

Yeah the opening goes forward, that is correct. Push the hood down on it and see if you can find any pinch or interference points. If not maybe soften it a little with a heat gun and close the hood so it forms to the hood/core suppt. I can tell you mine is very stiff, but it is prolly original...

It is just a simple L shaped bracket w/ 3 bolts to the bumper and then the square holes for the license plate gromets on the other side.

Hey All, I am installing a 4 speed hump in my Val. It has been primed with self etching primer. Once she is welded in and touched up can I put undercoating straight over the primer, or do I really need to rattle can some paint on the primer first? Thanks, Chris E.

Hey All, One thing that drives me nuts in my 68 Val. is that you cannot open a locked door via the interior door handle. You have to manually unlock the door, then open it with the handle. Does anyone know what year they started using the "unlock w/handle" option, and can i find a donor...
