I know someone who had that cam in a 340. I heard it run and it seemed to be more showoff of lumpy idle than low end power. He didn't like the cam after installed. I would look into a Comp XE cam like the XE268 or XE262. I prefer the XE268. Good luck with your choice.

I already cleaned the fouled plug and put it back before I bought a hotter plug. I'll put some miles on the plug and repost a picture of the plug. Thanks for the help and suggestions.

Only #3 is fouled. The other spark plugs look good. Does the leakdown test check the valve seals or just the valves? Should I just check #3 for compression and leakdown or all of them? For now I bought a hotter plug RN12YC to RN14YC for #3 hoping it helps until the season is over...

How do you do a compression test wet? Also, how do you check if the valve seal is good? No smoke on startup but sometimes it smokes after a hard ride from the #3 side. Thanks

On a 318/360 engine are the bottom 2 bolts of the water pump wet if you remove them? I need to install old style timing tab that uses these 2 bolts to mount plate? Thanks

The damper is on the engine and installed in 66 Cuda. Can't take a picture right now. I want to change waterpump(Drv to Pass side outlet) so I need to know what damper it is to get pulleys.

I have a 360 with 280H in my 66 Cuda. In neutral it idles at 900-950 with 12in vac. In drive the vac is 9-9.5 in vac. It will not idle correctly under 900-950 in neutral. Thought this might help you out a little.

I didn't check preload. I measured and used the longest of pushrods I had. They were in the range of 7.525 to 7.530. When I tried 7.50, they were loose with no preload. How do you actually check for pushrod length and preload? Can this now be done we an assembled engine?
