    Removing inake

I did the kegger on my FI Magnum not too long ago, and was able to just rock it left and right by the throttle body. For lower profile intakes, I've tapped rearward with a dead blow, although sometimes it requires more force than I'm willing to administer. I've also pried, with no ill effect...

That's a very well known and widely accepted practice. We know that not everything our gramps taught us is necessarily true, but why tempt fate? I'll be storing mine vertically.

    Does a 1988 318 have a roller cam

My info indicates that they went to roller in 85 on 2V engines, 4V was still flat tappet until 87 (allpar) or '89 (HRM). I'd imagine clhyer's 88 cop car would be a 4V, and therefore flat tappet. That agrees with Hot Rod, but not Allpar (which I would generally consider a better source).

    Does a 1988 318 have a roller cam

1988 should, and might also have the 302 heads. Is it truck or car? I read truck has higher C/R, although I'm not sure how much. Around here, that price would be high, unless it was a good recent rebuild. In fact, one of those (rebuilt, from a Ramcharger) came up in my area for $200 a few weeks...

Would It Be Normal - Engine Disassembly

I'd be more worried about the engine leaning on the balancer all night.

    push rods rubbing???

Haven't done it myself, but I've read about it. You do indeed need to wallow out the pushrod holes. You can do it with a die grinder and rasp. It will work, and won't cost any more than the abrasives.

I think that would be mandatory to take advantage of the larger proposed valves.

    318 Builds

If I recall, the OP's point was that more people are building 318's. Now I don't follow what goes on in the real world. But here on FABO, I have been noticing more threads devoted to builds, or asking questions related to the builds of 318 motors than I did even a year ago, when I first got my...

My rebuilt small block chevy has blue smoke on start up,runs fine.?

That's it. Maybe OP trusts us more than the Chevy guys, ever think of that? So which A-Body are we talking about? Chevelle, ElCamino, Malibu? At the end of the day, it's very poor forum etiquette to post a question without first posting an intro.

    70 318?

I generally steer clear of these debates, but Stroked, that post didn't exactly strengthen your case. I had a barber that had forgotten more about cutting hair than I would ever know. I'm currently looking for a new barber.

    70 318?

A coworker of mine gave me a Ford 302. I have no idea what I will do with it, but a free motor is a free motor. I figure at some point the right pickup with no motor will come along.

    Easiest/Cheapest way to a 4bbl 318?

If you have an engine compression tester, you may already have the correct fitting for pressurizing the cylinder.

    Street light question????

I kid you not: Three days ago, I was driving (the Duster, of course), and spotted a white car off in the distance in the same direction of travel as I, so I was looking at the rear. I asked my buddy riding with me if that could be a Duster. There was some chrome around the taillights that I...

    Whats My Problem?

A longshot, but I have had similar symptoms with a failing choke (stays closed). But my first guess would be a bad coil or condenser, as suggested by fishy.

    Help Please!!!

Looks to me like you should attach the mounts to the K-frame first, then lower the block onto the mounts. But I have done more Chevy work than Mopar, so take my advice with a big grain of salt.

What does anyone think of these intakes?

A basic law of finance applies, but it's not Supply vs. Demand. It's "the selling price is the highest price that a market will bear." We Mopar enthusiasts have no problem paying higher prices for our parts, so higher prices will be charged. When I say "we Mopar enthusiasts," I'm including the...

:toothy8:Sorry, I can't help myself. It's Asin-Warner, although you are not far off. Asin is Japanese manufacturer which originally produced sewing machines in the mid 1940's.
