One piece of advice before trying to start it is to make sure there is not corrosion in the fuel rail. When I first tried to start mine it wouldn't fire because the corrosion instantly plugged all of the injectors. I had to spend cleaning each one out by wiring a setup to open them and blowing...

I cut mine to fit on the passenger side (similar to picture) but I also modified my K-frame to use the 45 degree oil filter adapter so I had to do some extra grinding to get the insulator to fit. I made the driver side thicker similar to the picture, but instead of shims I had a truck insulator...

When I wired up my 05 I just ran the CAN Bus wires directly from the PCM to the connector. The only module I am using is the PCM.

I just found this thread and I love the work you are doing. I am in process with a similar swap of a truck 5.7 and 545RFE trans into my 73 Duster. If you haven't checked it out already there is lots of great info in the New Hemi Swaps section...

Just a minor correction to what you said 2nd prime actually makes the 545RFE into a 6 speed. The 45RFE is the same trans but the computer doesn't use 5th. The 545RFE gear ratios are: 1st 3.00:1 2nd 1.67:1 2nd Prime 1.50:1 3rd 1.00:1 4th 0.75:1 5th 0.67:1 Reverse 3.00:1

According to the 05 parts list I have it is part # 53021491AA It is listed under Group 9 Engine and Transmission Mounting and is called a structural collar.
