I remember doing both of these when I worked at the Dealership. I worked there from 1990-2009, so I saw a lot of recalls. lol The Dakota upper ball joint recall was a money maker. I had it down to 20 minutes to do both joints.

I always have fun at Carlisle. I think it took us about 2 hours just to go through the first 2 rows of parts. Lol This was I think my 17th year going. I wouldn't miss it.

I'm not sure that they ever used a long filter from the factory. I know they've used short filters at least back to about 89. I was working at the dealership and that's what was on them new.

I wouldn't really consider these "Muscle cars", They were factory built race cars. Actually they weren't factory built. I believe they were sent to Hurst for the conversion.

I would adjust the timing and idle speed until you get the highest vacuum reading. I wouldn't think you would need too much more than you have now.

My 73 Dart Sport had 295/50r15's on it when I bought it. And they were tucked under the wheel well. Barely lol. Granted it had 8" rims with spacers behind them. Had a 8-1/4.

I did this about 8 years ago with a ford c4 in a 64 Falcon with headers.

I picked up a header panel for my 73 Dart Sport with the chrome trim attached for $25. It is in really good condition too.

It's pretty common to swap an A body rear into a 1st gen Dakota (87-90), but I've never seen it the other way around. 87-90 Dakota's have 5 lug. 92-96 have 6 lug with the same rear axle spacing as 87-90.
