After my vacation I'll be back into parts making mode

$10,000 bucks worth? How about signing up on a forum site for this type of work. Surely someone would sell you a small amount. It does look promising though! C

    Jounce Stop Bumper ?

FJ5 - Thanks for taking my comment the way it was intended! one mile, I don't think you have an A body part there if that 6" X 4" dimension is correct. Where there other parts that came with the project that fit other vehicles? C

    Old school trick???

3406pk, how long do they stay soft & pliable after this treatment. How difficult is it to remove the windshield and save the old gasket? C

    Jounce Stop Bumper ?

You might have to resize your pic. If it is too large the system simply will not load it. Get your 16 y.o. daughter to help you resize if necessary and post the pic. Also, tell us what you are working on. It sounds way to big for the front end. The rear diff bumper on my car was a push...

    Old school trick???

As you are still in primer, be sure that you don't try any "tricks" that might involve silicone. I don't know if WD-40 has any or not, but I would be leary of using anything that might have an oily residue. C

    Old school trick???

This will be the last ground up car for me.

I hear what you are sayin'... Beautiful car you got going. I worked with my son and done a '67 Firebird. I had invested a lot of time (5 years) and towards the end, said never again also. Then I got to thinking, I gave the 'bird to my son and wanted a car for myself. I had invested all...

    Window Rubber

painsinner - the window felts (or cat's wiskers) get pretty hard, brittle and crumbly by 40 years of age, it's possible that you have what the rest of us have. Not sure what you mean by "not factory-fitting". Order up a set and see if they don't fix you up. C

    Window Rubber

I cannot think of the piece you are needing, and the pic is too small to make out any detail. Newer cars do use a rubber strip instead of the cat's wisker, but our old cars do not. Water does go into the door cavity (even on new cars) - the water and debris helps them to rust out quicker this...

    Trailer hitch?

340, This topic has come up a couple times lately so you might try the search function. I plan to do the same with my duster. One of the responses I remember was a stock hitch from a junkyard jeep that was a pretty decent bolt on. C
