    Is a 904 a 904 ?

There are a couple potential issues with early A tail housings and what shifter you have. If you stay in the years you are asking about you should be good to go though.

Dumb question but, are you sure you put the brakes back together right?

    Potentially Huge T5 Breakthrough!

So you are saying the 4.0L Jeep bell that i scrapped would have bolted to my 318 and a Ford T5WC?

    When is Sure-Grip actually necessary?

Sensibly driven on dry pavement it makes no difference. I drove my 64 Valiant every day for five years with an open rear on all kinds of roads. No problems, even pulled a 4x4 out of the ditch with once. If you want to race or do burn outs, get the SG.

    Keisler Engineering Filed for Bankruptcy

It might have something to do with a transmission that is priced more than the car it is going in is worth. To those that have one, I wonder what you will do when it breaks or needs parts. Back to the old pick-a-part option I guess.

    Axles and wheels

f it's an 8.25 it is already big bolt I think. I could be wrong but also think all 73 would be big bolt.

    8.25 rebuild

What would a rebuild be worth at a reputable shop? I can't believe the price the shop gave me, $1147. I figure I can buy two or three rears for that kind of money.

    Cherokee 8.25 to 64 Dart?

Take pics as you go and post a tech tip. I ask about this a while back and was told it wouldn't work so like a dumbass, I didn't even try.

    8-1/4 aka 8.25 swap for 67 Dart

If you don't mind my adding to your questions.... Will the emergency brake cables (which are about 3-4" longer) work or do we need to change them out for the cars originals? I am working with a 66 Barracuda and a 73 duster rear. BTW: the brake hoses are different but the newer work. It is...

small to large bolt pattern question

I had him check the bolt pattern and he reported 4" in the dark with a flashlight. If it has the 4" pattern it must be a 7.25 right?

small to large bolt pattern question

Can you swap axles in the 8.25 rears to get to the bigger wheel bolt pattern? I found a 8.25 out of a 71 Duster for $100 and already have the front setup out of a 73 Duster. Is it worth it to grab what I can get or should I wait for a later rear?

    5-speed the redneck thread

What 5-speed out of the salvage yard would be the best fit for and early A. 66 Barracuda with '84 318 to be specific. Since I can't sell the car, I might as well start thinking about making it into something I want. I'm not hot rodding and won't be going to the strip with it, I just want a...

I wish we were neighbors. I would swap you the 904 setup out of my 66 barracuda. I want a 4 speed.
