Any Professionals have tips for installing windshields?

How to cut out rear wheel wells (radius wheel)

I'm sure a 53 GM truck fender is a totally different metal to work with. What I did on it was use a 1/4" metal rod to create the arc I wanted. Tack it inside the fender and then cut slowly with the cut-off wheel. I took care to take measurements and tack in the same spots and made sure the rod...

    Cowl (sealing)

It has lasted almost 50 years with the factory overspray finish. Do you plan on parking it outside under a tree? An additive in that closed and sometimes damp environment will promote rust, not prevent it.

    How bad does this look?

$2k is way too much. You hinted that it is destined for the crusher if you don't buy it, what does that tell you about its value?

    How bad does this look?

Yep. probably too late to park that in the desert. I can't see the downside to taking advantage of the guy who wants to help you fix it, you certainly can't do much more harm.

Can I use a 1.5mm tip with this?

1mm=a little over 1/32nd inch. I would bet that after spraying a couple shots the thickness of the paint will make that hole smaller. Practice a little on some cardboard and see if you are happy with the spray pattern.

Primered car, needs fixing, and then what.

He should be running a max of 40 psi with that sprayer, just about any compressor should be able to keep up with that.

Primered car, needs fixing, and then what.

Your paint is never going to be any better than the prep work. When you think you are done sand for about two more days. As for the HF gun, I have painted three cars with them, the first I had results similar to yours. Then I read the instructions and spent a lot more time sanding for the...

    Rusty floor pan!

Discussion is good. I have a welder, that doesn't mean I am a welder. Something as important as the structural integrity of my vehicle will be entrusted to a professional welder not a bottle of Elmers. Just my humble opinion.

how are old paint colors figured out ?

It's not going to be unless it is how you remember it in your minds eye, so make it your own. But, I am assuming you are building the car to suit you not a judge at a show.

    Can anyone identify these mirrors?

You could get some flat steel and replace the parts that are too thin. You don't need those 3" long slots anyway.

anybody ever use spray on bedliner?

What do you plan on putting in your trunk? I have always heard that the bedliner products are good for trucks that get a lot of abusive use. IMHO they look like crap on a nice unabused vehicle. I would think a nice paint application in the trunk area would be sufficient protection.

    Snagged a gas cap!

I've been thinking of rotating my filler neck up higher. Most pumps won't stay in the car and you have to stand there holding it. Ticks people off when I finish filling and then go pop the hood to check everything else. Some lady, and I use the term loosely, called me names I had to look up...
