    You know if it was me I would go with a 4 speed since you have to put in the hump for the floor shift any way. And I would say you would need the bracket if oyu stay with the 3 speed

    Taking apart a valve body for an overhaul

    As mentioned before, make sure you have a very clean area to work on it, lay it out just as you take it apart to make sure you don't mix up you springs as If I remember right they are different tension for the shift points.

    You will need a hammer and a good chessel. You will need ot cut the retainer with the chessel. Once you do that the bearing should come off pretty easy, then I would think you should be able to use a piece of pipe the sice of the retainer and beat the new on on

    IO believe the 8 3/4 is only 3". So I would say you will need some off of something else. Not too sure what else would work, but i am sure someone wil come along with more info

    I would think as long as you got everything form a 64 or older would work. As that was the last year for the push buttons. They would have to come from a abody. I think the drive line and cross memeber would be the same as I switched from an auto to a 4 speed in my 66 Dart and used the the cross...

    truck 8 3/4 rearend

    Sounds like a good deal. And I would go for it. Is it in a 2 wheel drive or 4x4. The 2x4 had the 4.5 on 5 bolt patteren and the 4x4 had I think 5 on 5 bp.
