    185/75R-14

Is the "Hancook" brand pretty much the only "common" tire now available in 185/75R-14? Thank you.

Thinking About Switching to Right Hand Lugs

I don't know if the front drums are original factory or not, and I don't know if the factory would have used swedged lugs or knurled lugs on my particular vehicle when it was first manufactured. I tried to test fit the five left-threaded lug nuts on the five studs and this is what I found...

Thinking About Switching to Right Hand Lugs

All the non-mopar youtube videos show the guy just knocking them out with a hammer. Not sure how old Mopars are installed. Here's an interesting video based on post #2 above suggestion:

Thinking About Switching to Right Hand Lugs

Only the left front on the '65 Valiant Signet convertible has the left-hand threads, the other three are right-hand. I painted little "L"s on the end of the studs to warn anyone removing the tire, but no guarantee they would even notice. Now that I have things apart during brake renewal, I might...

What a Difference a Day Makes!

I paid for a front end alignment on a Mazda MPV which had almost no tread on the tires. After the alignment, the vehicle tracked the same, wanting to run either left or right. The alignment tech said don't blame him, it was the worn out tires. I didn't believe him, but later with new tires, the...

No need to do that, per post #6, I made an online deal. Thank you for the help though.

I went to a few of those sites out of curiosity. Sometimes the 185 size disappears when you really try to purchase, while other sizes pop up as subs.

P185/75R14 Gone the Way of the Dinosaurs?

I just purchased a pair of Hankook at the 185/14 size online for $77.00 USD with free delivery (need to pay mounting/balancing). It's funny how some local stores can't accommodate me.

P185/75R14 Gone the Way of the Dinosaurs?

About six months ago I purchased a pair of P185/75R14 tires and now I need another pair to match. However, the local tire shops here (Mexico) tell me that size in just not available. How is it in the USA, same story? Thank you.

What a Difference a Day Makes!

The tire in post #1 came on the vehicle I purchased 14 years ago, not sure of the tire date. Drove it 2,400 miles on those tires since 2008.

What a Difference a Day Makes!

Removed and stacked the tires/wheels yesterday that I removed from our '65 Valiant Signet convertible. This afternoon I walked by and found one tire had given up its ghost.

Show your 5x4 small bolt pattern wheels!

Back in the '70's, the first mod I made on my '65 Valiant four-door was a pair of 13" slotted aluminum mags in the factory 5X4 bolt pattern, mounted with A60-13 raised white letter tires on the rear (sorry no photos).

1971 Duster Twister Rallye Wheels without Center Emblem?

That looks like it shows the good-looking center cap. But in 1971, or at least in other posters like this, I have seen something like the little dust cover only (without center cap).

1971 Duster Twister Rallye Wheels without Center Emblem?

How did the '71 Twister model (available only with slant 6 or 318) manage to employ the rallye wheels without the center caps? Was the wheel bearing grease dust cap plain or chrome? Anyone have an actual close-up photo? I have some rallye wheels and I want to duplicate whatever the Twister model...

1966 valiant rim width with spacers

I wasn't bashful in flaring my wheel wells. Someone mentioned once that now it resembles a BMW. Before doing the wheel wells, I actually had A60-13 inch tires on slot aluminum rims mounted on the rear end reversed (rims inside out) so the tires would fit inside the wheel wells.
