    Borgeson steering

Yes I had the same problems with my Borgeson/ D453 header combo. I had to beat the snot out of the header to dimple it enough to get both in with some clearance. The headers also hit the drivers side Torsion bar (.96 dia) and the passenger Tbar as well. Such a frustrating install to be honest...

    Combo steering column

Can I use a floor shift upper (part right under steering wheel) manual column on a column shift ( below the rotating part with the lever) lower power column to make a floor shift power steering column? I have both and was hoping I could mix n match them to make what I need. Sorry I this is...

Replacing power steering with Manuel steering

Guys I don't mean to hijack the thread but I have a quick question for you. I am looking at doing the Borgeson conversion. Do you know if I can use a power steering shaft in my manual steering column body? I'd like to do that if possible to keep it a stock as possible. If I have to go to a power...

    16:1 manual steering

Wow that a lot of movement!

    16:1 manual steering

Yes it moves side to side right above the pitman arm. I looked at what I could see and it "looks" normal. The old box has zero movement in that area.

    16:1 manual steering

I .having a similar problem with a PST 16:1 box. Everything is new in the front and I was getting a little "play" at the wheel. Come to find out it is the shaft that holds the pitman arm. It is moving Bout 1/8 to 1/4" side to side as I trand sitting from left to right. Can that be "adjusted" out?

Electric Power Steering Pump - 1967 Barracuda

Hal9000 and Dodgy can each of you post a wiring diagram? This is very interesting. I have a manual steering car that I was going to cut up the steering column and go electric. This is a great alternative.

Hotchkis TVS with QA1 lower control arms

That looks a lot like mine as far as the bar/ K member relationship. Can you undo the bar and just do a bracket shot straight down? I just want to see where the triangle hole lines up. Sorry to ask all this of you. Just want to be helpful.

Hotchkis TVS with QA1 lower control arms

If you are looking straight on at the sway bar is the K member right behind it or above it? It looks like you have the brackets in the right spot but let me go look at mine.

Hotchkis TVS with QA1 lower control arms

So, I'm bored, it's frigid out, and I've got my k-frame inside with QA1 lowers and a Hotchkis sway bar. First, read instructions. I initially bolted the frame brackets to the k-frame first, using the front hole for the original sway bar bracket, but it was clear the other hole did not line up...

    16:1 manual steering

I am sure it would help a 2 I am sure it would help either box but I have heard about clearance issues before. Nothing I can recite verbatim though.

Sorry this took so long. The distance between the center bushings is 2.5 inches.

    16:1 manual steering

Here is the PST 16:1 box in my '67 273 Commando. Went in with out taking anything off as far as exhaust. Effort is reasonable but it made the front end way tighter feeling. Combined with the TVS front end it feels like a modern car sans power steering.

Hotchkis TVS with QA1 lower control arms

I actually had some on there before I did the TVS kit that were shorter and worked I just used the bushing that came with the kit. I can measure them if you want.

    Bent frame????

Yes. The alignment went well. I have the full Hotchkis TVS on it. Like I said the K member looks level. I will do some measurements etc and see if I can find something.

    Bent frame????

So I have noticed over time that the drivers side of the front of my Barracuda seems higher than the passenger side even though the k member seems to be level. It does not look like it has ever been hit but at the center of the wheel arch it is almost 3/4 inch higher. Any thoughts? Build...
