    Shocks for super stock springs?

Yep. I recall a SS/AA dipping in the 9’s for the first time. SS springs and C-body shocks and very close to 700 hp. Yes, I’m thinking too much lol

    Shocks for super stock springs?

Perhaps I’m overthinking this. I have new Monroe c-body shocks; think I’ll use them and see what happens.

    Shocks for super stock springs?

Yea, the extension deal is too old school. Been there, done that...back when we hadn’t discovered C body shocks yet. Lol! You have yours on the 70/30 setting?? Mind sharing your combo??

    Shocks for super stock springs?

That’s the shock I was thinking of, but it’s been a long time since leaf springs. Just wondering what else everyone has had success with. Not interested in the cal trac deal...

    Shocks for super stock springs?

I’m going to have 2 pass side springs on both sides; 002 spring. Going to try to hook 600+ lb/ft of torque on a 275/60 drag radial. What shocks for a street/strip car? Go...

69 Dart Strut rod roll pin; what size?

It’s far from a restoration...good point! I was thinking the same about the nuts backing off; never seen that happen.

69 Dart Strut rod roll pin; what size?

Just what the title says. Are they 5/16 diameter?? Thanks!

    Torsion bars!!!

Let’s hear what torsion bars that y’all are using and in what application. Recommendations for a STREET/strip 69 Dart. Small block, aluminum heads, aluminum radiator, manual steering. With NO sway bar. I’m not looking for a killer auto cross set up, or a .810 diameter drag race set up, but a...

    Steering column collar and hub

Third time was the charm for me. Thank you for the reply and help.

    Steering column collar and hub

I believe you’re correct now that I’ve looked at it out of the frustration zone. Looks like the trick is tightening them alternatively a little at a time. That and PATIENCE...

    Steering column collar and hub

Searched and came up empty, so this the official HELP post... How in the tar nation does one reassemble the steering column collar and hub so the hub is “locked” in position and will not turn? I have put this thing back together as I took it apart...or so I thought. Why do I think my issue...

New tie rods don't fit the drag link holes?????

If I flip it around, it puts the TR ends at such an angle they hit the T bars... Idler arm was new and already in the car so I left it. The pittman arm was replaced, but the MOOG part is identical to the OE piece.

New tie rods don't fit the drag link holes?????

They go in IN FRONT of the drag link, pointing towards the rear, right? That's the way it cam apart in OE form. A sample pic is attached of a different car...

New tie rods don't fit the drag link holes?????

A related question: This was a slant 6 car and I'm going with a small block. Does the drop in the drag link differ? Will I need a V8 drag link???

New tie rods don't fit the drag link holes?????

Once again, HELP!!! I'm redoing the front end on my 69 Dart project and have hit a small snag. Using MOOG Part # ES319R and ES319L inner tie rod ends... The "shoulder" of the tie rod stud, (below the threads) will NOT fit in the hole in the drag link. I see they are tapered holes...and yes...

    Torsion Bar adjuster clocking???

Thank you. I was feeling mighty stupid on this deal. Should have used some common sense, huh? I'd much rather build engines...LOL! PS: Nice looking fleet, 72!

    Torsion Bar adjuster clocking???

Mine will go in in 2 spots, with the LCA hanging down. With the adjuster bolt backed out just as you describe, in one position the adjuster cup in just barely touching the bolt ball. In the other, there is a gap of an inch or so from the adjuster cup to the bolt ball.

    Torsion Bar adjuster clocking???

I got the L and R on the correct sides. What I meant is where should the adjuster (in the LCA) should be positioned for proper range of adjustment when installing the bars.

    Torsion Bar adjuster clocking???

Good point. Yes they are the OE bars. Original slant 6 Dart.

    Torsion Bar adjuster clocking???

I failed to note the clocking position of my t-bar adjusters on disassembly... Now that I'm ready to reassemble, where should they be?? Looking at them from the rear it seems at there are only 2 choices to get the bars in: 1:00 o'clock, or if I rotate one flat it would be at 3:00 o'clock...

    Tubular upper control arm...question.

Thanks guys! Like I said, while I "thought" all top BJ's leaned towards the rear, I KNEW better after mocking these up. Adding to my frustration was that I see them forwards and backwards, although not anywhere NEAR what mine were like. No, they were not marked L or R. Thanks again. Back...

    Tubular upper control arm...question.

This is how it looks with c-arms switched and the BJ leaning forward, which is obviously better... In looking around the web, I see upper tube c-arms installed leaning both ways. Now I know every vendor has a slightly different part, but can someone shed some light on this for me???

    Tubular upper control arm...question.

Didn't get a response to this on the "other" board...maybe it's THAT lame of an issue. I have some tube upper c-arms for my 69 Dart and some conflicting info on which side is which. I always thought the ball joints were to lean backwards, so the TOP of the BJ was towards the rear of the...

Stupid question of the day: Spindles??

Good stuff guys! I'm thinking I'm going to do the aftermarket disc conversion on my Dart rather than "upgrade" to the 10" drums.

Is the A body LCA the same for the early 9" application AND the '73 and up Disc stuff?? Thanks in advance ! ! !

Stupid question of the day: Spindles??

Quote-"He can also look up the aftermarket disc brake conversion kits and he will see there is one for 9" and a different on for the 10" spindles". There ya go! I hadn't had enough caffeine yet this AM, thus your help is appreciated!

Stupid question of the day: Spindles??

Are the 9" brake and 10" drum brake spindles the same on an A-body?? I say no, but another mopar head insists the are... What say you, FABO?
