Just a thought you are getting the converter all the way on the input shaft on the trans. that has been known to mess some people up.

Just take the spacer out they will work fine. I put a small tack on the retainer ring on mine that way yo dont have to worry about them slipping

I have a full manuel reverse in my 69 cuda and have a lot of fun driving it. I run a 3200 stall and the only time it shifts hard is when im getting on it. If I shift it before the converter comes all the way in it shifts like a stock one

I have a 69 cuda that has a 408 stroker in it farily mild build. I had a 2800 in it and just switched to a 3200 and love it. I went w/ Turbo Action no problem talking w/ them email or on the phone, great cust. service and great product.

My vote is turbo-action.

I'm using a street avenger also here is a pic. I'm also using the mancini cable kick down. When you push the pedal down it should pull the linkage to the back toward the fire wall.

Like jeh said and if it is a 391 it will be real close to 4 turns of the drive shaft. Real easy to find what you have there that way. Tom

410 is pretty tall for highway driving. There are a lot of other factors you might want to look at between the cam and the rear end.

Come on got to be some help somewhere out there.

I got mine from mancini and it has lots of adjustments and didn't take long to get right. Holds the gears just right and kicks down at 26 mph like it should.

I just installed a cable kickdown on my 69 cuda. I ordered it from mancini with the bracket that bolts on the carb. With the air gap you will have make some changes to the rod lenghts to get the stock linkage to work. This was a bolt on thing and works great. Hope this helps, Tom
