the vinyl mat itself may be the problem. It will trap moisture that condenses under it because the moisture can't vaporize through it. You may still have a leak, but you don't necessarily need one with this stuff. L8r

The open end of the U-shaped clips attach to the roof side of the weatherstrip channel. Then you push the channel up into the opening next to the rain gutter. L8r Jim

In my 71 Dart, it is located on the left side of the steering column mounting bracket. this is the big bracket that is welded into the body shell.

A long, thin sewing needle works very well if you have to hunt around for a mounting hole. It gives you a lot of reach and leaves a hole that is very difficult to detect when you are all done. Especially with the textured headliners that many of these cars have.

440+6, Your hypothesis is correct the 2 square indentations is where the other bows go. I have attached a copy of the driver's side of my 71 Dart and there are holes drilled in the square areas you show in the picture.
