yah ill probly use the sem paint for the grill and then use the black I already have that I bought for a guys harley I was gonna do and then spray it , then do a low gloss clear. that way all I need to buy is clear

so maby use a sem semi gloss on the grill and headlight bezels and then probly a real base w/flat clear on the hood and bumper? so it will hold up better in the weather and sun?

yah no i already have it shaved down in weight... everythings removed... relocated and started fiberglass. Now I have 1 bad fender I just spent 300 dollers on a steel 1 to replace the damaged one and it came from ups bent and torn apart.... they crushed it. so no im gonna eventually get another...

damage wise... if it got hit in the front w/fiberglass as opposed to steel.. since I already have fiber bumper and hood guess it wouldnt matter all that much, but cost vs weight savings alone almost dosnt seem worth it.

:cheers: re-sprayed the few spots that went past the base coat when sanding and re- sprayed the clear! everything went on a little smoother... better weather ill get picks soon

ok good news... got some new clear today... car is sanded down and i got the jist of what needs to go down... On top of that this time i will go 4-1-1 and ad clear to the mix. i went on the manufactures website and they said add thinner if you need for weather.... SO round 2 here we go!

ahh well i talked to my friend that was going to paint the car and he said it was the clear/ hardener dried too fast and it was wayyyy to hott for it. im gonna sand it down to nuthin and re-clear with a slower activator.... see how this turns out., but with this much texture even that will take...

hmm yes tempeture/ curing too fast i would say is the culprit. we had a hot hot week and it was the only week i had to paint unfortunatly.... so that combined with the fast dry times apparently killed it. Well either way like i said i will have to knock the paint down wether its to re-shoot or...
