well...after all the posts i'm betting your totally confused. All the oil companies have engineers and chemists who have dedicated their life to producing lubricating oil. It's unlikely that any one is better than the rest and adding a bottle of something probably won't change anything either...

Glue the gasket to the valve cover.Cork is best but requires regular use to keep it wet..like a wine bottle cork it needs to be wet to keep from drying out, that's why wine bottles with corks are stored on their side. I've never had any luck with the silicone rubber.

i think (?) ontario has now mandated 10% average across the board in Jan.2018 so unless they use 15% in regular they now have to have a minimum of 5% even in hi octane? me...i use 94 petro can and it has ethanol.

i'm with you AJ,i run the 5 or 10 % ethanol in everything...outboards,lawn mowers.snow blower,chainsaw it usually sits seasonally and i haven't had a problem in years. Hot start issues may be tuning.I have seen / heard fuel boiling in carbs when shut off but that is probably retarded timing...

As we speak i believe all gas in Ontario has a minimum of 5% ethanol so ethanol free is no longer available.I have been using Petro Can 94 which has higher ethanol in my Dart for 2 years now to prevent detonation and haven't had any problems. ...But i have had ethanol free gas go bad in small...

makes sense.i have heard that term "vapour lock" a lot. what is actually happening..fuel boiling and evaporating? wouldn't cranking re-fill the carb quite quickly?

probably...but a tall gear will not guarantee good mileage. your max lo speed torque must be your cruise rpm.

..my duster has 27" tires and 3.23 gears 50 mph is about 2150 rpm 60 mph is about 2550 rpm ..3.23 is the perfect rear gear!

..and you all know that a quality wrench is sized to be uncomfortable if you overtighten, so no gloves allowed.
