    Is your grill plastic or metal? Regardless i've had great success with "adhesion promoter" on more delicate parts to get spray paint to adhere, especially plastic. You may want to give it a try. It's like a primer.

    I've seen floor pans way worse than that. You'll be alright. Get as much of the rust off as you can, clean it with something like alcohol or acetone, and coat it with POR-15. You can then topcoat it if you want but I didn't bother. I used POR-15 on my floor pans over 10 years ago. Still going...

    You can remove the stud by pounding it out from the back side. Grind a small amount off on the back side then hammer out with a punch. I recently removed all the studs out of both wiper pivots and the motor to where it connects the linkage. I drilled them out and tapped them, and replaced them...

    rotate the latch, it can rotate on the mounting bolts. I know it sounds weird but try it out.

    drill an extra hole at the lowest point prep the surface inside the best you can and use POR-15 I like the POR-15 chassis because it's not affected by UV as much as regular POR-15

    This. Not just side to side, but you can also rotate the hood latch. Drove me crazy until that fixed it.
