ISO 67 barracuda trunk lid trim brackets

When I was looking for them, they didn't exist. Occasionally someone puts some used ones up for sale. Unique, one year only items.

    67 BARRACUDA CARGO CARPET

There was a definite trend towards "de-contenting" the 69s for price competitiveness, especially considering they hadn't hit their sales targets either of the previous 2 years. I don't think bucket seats were ever "standard" except in convertibles. Seats were never a part of the Formula S...

    67 BARRACUDA CARGO CARPET

Yes, I know some cars had it. Just wondering if yours did. I was surprised the carpet kit included the side panels, since probably most cars (standard interior) didn't have it. I would just as soon have not paid for it.

    67 BARRACUDA CARGO CARPET

Did your car have carpet on the sides from the factory? Mine didn't, and it looked like it would be difficult to install, so I gave that carpet away.

Ha ha... yeah, I have several of the models... I could have cut a few up and applied various amounts of primer to document the process.

A few images from this weekend’s activities. Progress is being made. Picking up the motor, etc. at the storage locker. Forgot the driveshaft, but we didn't get to that point anyway. Engine on the hoist. Alan & I are on opposite sides of the issue whether to install engine and trans together...

Very nice. When the show circuit starts up again maybe I'll see you around.

Considering a '67 Dart GT Convertible as my first project. Am I insane?

Financially speaking, buying someone else’s build is almost always a better choice. But then you don’t have all the fun, or the bragging rights, and it won’t be all exactly to your taste.

    Alright, looking good!

    69 barracuda notchback project

The black hood was never a thing on this generation of Barracuda. Of course, you can do whatever you like -- I just saw one of these dressed up like a 1970 AAR Cuda. But have fun with the build!

    Not Fast, just "Less Slow"

Sorry to hear about the picker incident. I just repainted the air cleaner on my 'vert because the paint I used never set up (low temperatures?), and it was rubbing off on the hood insulation (I'm using a big 318 2bbl manifold with snorkel, and it's a wee bit high perched atop the slant). Your...

    Not Fast, just "Less Slow"

Lookin' kinda empty in there.. empty but shiny. Good work. I got my 2bbl in and the kickdown set up, but I'm waiting on a throttle cable. The old one came up from the bottom and is way too long. Now it's a straight horizontal run from the firewall, and pretty much needs the shortest cable they...

    Not Fast, just "Less Slow"

I have the super six 2bbl carb and manifold, but looking at it compared to my 1bbl, I'm kind of underwhelmed. Man, those are some tiny throats. Looking at total cross-sectional area, it's not an enormous improvement, and the orientation is 90 degrees away from what you'd want. It makes me think...

    Not Fast, just "Less Slow"

Don't want to hijack the thread, but... It has a wee bit of surging at idle, but I only drove it around the block, so it wasn't really warm enough to set the idle mixture. I would say the shafts are "loose-ish", not horrible (I've seen "horrible" on SU carbs). Rebuild was to fix the stalling...

    Not Fast, just "Less Slow"

Personally, I wouldn't paint the underhood area black because then you can't see anything -- it soaks up all the light you can put on it (which usually isn't much anyway). But what color is the car? I saw the taillight of the 'Cuda in one of those pix. What's its status?

Carb looks nice. I just bought a rebuild kit for my Holley 1920. Any particular issues I should be aware of?

    Not Fast, just "Less Slow"

True that. Yeah, copper boy has had some trouble with the shop. Definitely in the slow lane. AFAIK it hasn't been worked on for over a year. But he promises to get it going... To amuse myself I picked up a 67 MGB roller and now that's in the shop getting metalwork and paint. But it is...

    Not Fast, just "Less Slow"

I just put a new Cloyes set on the 273. Or rather, I did last summer, but it hasn't been run yet. And I ported the heads, too. Man, I get frustrated looking at it sitting there on the stand when all I have to drive is the slanty. Oh well...

I notice your shop prices in Ohio are a lot cheaper than out here. My 273 heads ran almost $500 each, IIRC.

    Not Fast, just "Less Slow"

Hi, thanks for pointing me to your thread. I guess I did know you had picked up a Valiant, but I'd lost track of the story. Keep plugging away, you'll get there. I kind of hesitate to ask how's the rest of the car, seeing how the motor and brakes were neglected.

1967 barracuda fastback resto or mod?

Sounds a lot like my car: 273 Commando, 904, column shift, manual steering, manual disks, bench seat. Not really a collectible package like a Formula S would be, though if restored to stock condition it would always have some value. My approach has been to improve its driving qualities (for me...

    My 67'Barracuda Resto

For 5-speed conversions, talk to this guy. http://gerkoenterprises.com/ Nice guy, an engineer, he fabs up his own parts like transmission supports, knows a lot about the different transmissions out there.

    Max's 67 Dart GT

Was too busy and missed Good Guys, but I am going to Spring Fling in LA. And I always get to the Mopar Alley show in June in Fremont. I usually go to the Monterey Mopar show in August, but it was more of a concours last year and I don't know if I'm into that... Keep up the good work.

    Max's 67 Dart GT

Dark blue. You might have seen it driving around San Jose/Los Gatos in the early '80s (hmm, maybe you're a little young...). My Dart had the 273 2bbl, 904, and 13" rims. And over 200K miles, and was generally thrashed. However, my Barracuda is a factory 273 Commando. Let me tell you, the...
