There is a certain window of time that you can reposition your panel; after that it can not be moved. Have your panel ready test fitted and use a few screws to line it up.....and lots of clamps. Stuff works great! I use in spots that I can not get the welder into.

x2 Base with Flat clear. They make flat clear coat. Then any graphics or stripes you do could be taped off then cleared with gloss clear to give a certain look to the car.

I think between the mirror and door there should be a plastic type base. (going by my '73 mirror) The base is sandwiched between the mirror and door. I may be able to get pics later today if needed.

Sounds like the stripe my '73 has and I am certain it is original. Is this the stripe you are talking about?

I am not sure about height but something to consider is Duster vs Dart & Valiant. The Duster is not as long across the top. It actually tilts in toward center of the car. I dont remember exactly but there is a few inches difference with the top trim between the two.

I use a punch where I can; and a varibit in the other spots. 1/8 or quarter would work. My punch is an 1/8th. works well.

The Fiat ones match the stainless trim package on my Vailant. Maybe I should put them there. I think IAP (International Auto Parts) carries the Fiat handles.

I havent yet. I have a pair of flush mount ones out of a Honda Del Sol that look good and would match a Duster body. I will be doing this conversion this winter.

It is two pieces of glass connected with plastic. I beleive what you are seeing is the plastic. I think the plastic is there to keep glass from flying all over the place and killing someone in an accident. I need to replace mine in the '73 Duster for the same reason.
