Can you fix a motor mount?

The replacement inserts I got for the slant were shot in about 2 yrs but they looked like they were on the shelf for 20 yrs  . I don't think they were much better in the 80's-90's. We used to go through mounts like candy on the 4-5 Dodge van's we had at the family business. I've filled...

I about peedled myself reading this thread :D Let's hope the build doesn't say you swapped the heads....likely they are trying to figure out how you got 2 different heads.

    Engine shop woes

Scares me that they won't tell you what was done...I mean what EXACTLY did you pay for? Surely not 2650 for a hot tank and a cam swap...

    Magnum Retrofit

Not sure if you are thinking about adding a power distribution block under the hood, but now would be the time. It'll have all of the fuses and relays needed to run an electric fan ,fuel pump and such. If this is a power steering car, you also may want to look into the bracket from a van, it...

Magnum going into '73 Dart...which spool mounts? Where to buy?

Not exactly. That pic is of schumacher conversion mounts... from what you say, the previous engine is/was a 318. So.... LA318, LA360 or 360 Mag or 318 Mag can use the same mounts, use your stock mounts ( replace inserts if needed autozone part number A2369 for insert only ) A2325 and A2326 for...

360 Magnum ECU ECM PCM part number

The motor is going into my 73 Duster without the use of the newer gauges, so no security option, but I will be running the computer controlled trans ( 46RE ) out of a 98 ram 1500. Do you happen to have the number from the place you ordered your's from? I understand the security thing ( anti...

For those of you running a 360 magnum engine WITH stock efi stuff, what PCM part number are you using? I've been searching, but have found tons of different part numbers for the things. What are the differences? The eninge I have is from a 99 Dakota R/T.

    Help needed: Brackets/pulleys/misc

here is a thread with some pics of the ps pump and bracketry. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=39542&highlight=pump and you might want the spacer that goes between the 2 inside alternator ears, you can snap the ears off the alum housing otherwise.

    Check out my timing chain

That IS wack! I thought I was the only one. When I picked up a fel-pro manifold gasket for my slant six there were 2 in the sealed box...it's like the little Caesar of auto parts  or maybe it's a "double roller"

    Engine Misfiring

you can learn alot from parts that the PO replaced, maybe they were trying to track down the same problem. My car had an alternator, 2 ballast resistors and a spare voltage regulator in the trunk. Hmmm charging problems? Good hunting.

    Engine Misfiring

I quickly read through the post, has anyone mentioned vapor lock? could be clogged fuel filter, shut it down just long enough to get some fuel thru then sucks dry shortly after you fire it up. pressure will read ok just little or no fuel volume to the carb. Cars need 3 things to run. 1.gas...

Little issue (btw. any super 6 stuff not ur not using?)

A couple of the best "mods" that I've done to help idle quality is switch to the long electrode plugs ( autolite 985 or the NGK ZFRN5? i forget) look up a 2000 jeep cherokee with 4.0L. And the fuel line mod: basically moving the fuel line away from the waterpump/exhaust manifold and running it...

    Overlooking something? Fuel Starvation

Mike, What Changed? anything little, big? Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? if so where is it getting its feed from? What does the gauge do when the carb is dry, if there is a restriction somewhere it will still show 6-7 PSI but not moving much fuel. Also how long does it take to fill the carb...

    2 BBl Dual Exhaust

Now if "the guy Before" you did something strange to the car then....all bets are off . I perfectly agree with Chuck, however, the likelihood that the feds are going to show up on your doorstep and haul you off in the middle of the night... not so much. That said, you probably wont find...

Planning 318 build for daily driver

What are the (stock) spces on the 360 cam? (for comparison) As for the milage - something that's out of the low teens like my truck.. 250hp may be just what I was looking for..just to show my boss that I can build a car for less than $10,000 that is just as fast as his $36,000 G35......AND WAY...

Planning 318 build for daily driver

That sounds like a plan.... but for the re ring and bearing, how do I know what rod and crank bearings to buy? aren't they very specific. For the rings I guess I would messure the bore to verify the size. How much would a stock 360 cam cost (wink wink)

Planning 318 build for daily driver

I'm new to the board and was looking for advice for a 318 setup. What I'm looking to accomplish 1. 250 - 275 RWHP 2. decent gas milage 3. low cost/biggest bang for buck ***remember Daily driver*** I haven't purchased anything yet, just trying to get an idea of how much it will cost me...
