I got a new wiper switch and had my wiper motor rebuilt, I watched the guy building it test it and everything worked including the park position. I hooked it up I my car everything works but the park position, wont shut off. what did I do wrong ?

my windshield wipers only seem to have one speed, and when I go to shut them off, they don't shut off ( only when I turn the ignition off ) I checked where I plugged in the connections and I replaced the switch itself with no different results.....any ideas ?

Just for info....a 1973 Plymouth scamp 3 speed wiper motor switch is # 3488764 is the same number a 3 speed switch found on a cuda/ challenger

there a tons of 2 speed switches on ebay I didn't see anything for an a body with a 3 speed switch...is there anything mopar that will work ?

I don't know...I tried to turn the distributor to see if I could get the idle down but no good.....couldn't adjust the idle on the carb all the adjustments were turned all the way in but were loose and not doing anything

UPDATE: found a couple of loose connections at the bulkhead connector. fixed them, fired right up I let run about 15 minuets oil pressure gauge pinned. would not idle below 2500 rpm got some oil leaks......any ideas ??

my relay has: battery, solenoid , ground and negative

I have an American autowire harness . this is where I'm at now. put my meter on the coil wasn't getting a reading. went to bulkhead connector noticed the pink and brown wires (battery and tach ) wire spades were not seated well and were loose, tried to tightened , well you know how that works...

I have a 73 scamp with a 360..i replaced everything on this car. the problem is I start it up it will run for about a second or two, then it will cut out. I had my wife crank the car to see if I'm getting fuel ( I am ) I'm thinking it might be something else...any ideas ?

thanks for the replies. just so everyone knows this is a 360 engine the reason why I'm posting is I'm looking to go with the american auto wire harness. this is set up for a H.E.I. distributor and requires a ballast resistor to step down the voltage. i understand there might be a fitment issue...

im going to rewire my 73 scamp, and im looking at an autowire kit. it states that the harness is setup for a hei distributor. how does this work will it work with the stock ignition system? i was looking at a proform distributor will the big cap clear my firewall ...
