carb spacer - should i get an open or dual

When I went through it, I was told open for better street manners, closed is more for the strip. I went open in a 360 with an eddy air gap and a Holley 650. Runs great!

    fuel spewing

So, I took the Dart out for the first time this year, she was running strong. So, I ran it through the paces pretty good. Oops, out of gas. So my buddy brings gas, we get it running and get it home. I was only 1/4 mile or so from the house but it was running real bad. Pulled the air cleaner...

    air cleaner base

I have a 318 that I want to dress as a 273. I have the proper air cleaner assembly, but I'm running an AVS 600 carb that has a 4 1/2" opening. So, does anyone have any idea which base I would need to use the stock air cleaner assemble with an AVS carb??? Thanks. Jim

    273 Commando air cleaner ?

Is that what I would ask at the parts store? 9" 4bbl base and filter? I'm in the same boat. I want to use the 273 Charger can but the 600 avs is 4 1/2" when the throat on the base is 4" ?????

    carburetor spacer.

So, motor is finished and running, everything seems to be good but I'm fighting the kickdown linkage. Doesn't run in plane and the throttle cable doesn't quite reach. The car originally was set with a 360 Magnum crate, M1 mopar single plane manifold and a holley 750 with a 1" carburator spacer...

fresh 360 Holley 650. Need pics

Hey Tony. Looks like my kickdown linkage is different than yours. Also, I can't really tell where your throttle cable is hooked to. Is there a difference between a two barrell and a four barrell kickdown????? Thanks.

fresh 360 Holley 650. Need pics

This is the original equipment that I pulled off. Looks like my kickdown linkage is different and you can see that he made a home made throttle cable connection. I really don't want to change the throttle cable at this point. Maybe in the future. Any ideas on what may be proper? Thank. Jim

fresh 360 Holley 650. Need pics

I just put a new Holley 650 on the fresh 360. Took off the original single plane Mopar intake and put an Edelbrock rpm air gap on. Set the carb yesterday and seems like the throttle and kickdown don't set the same as the 750. I took pictures but I'm not much of a photographer. Anybody have a...
