    clutch adjustment

I had my 64 Dart converted from PB auto to 3/tree. new clutch, the whole deal. The clutch pedal is a long travel -- I can get used to that but still it doesn't start to engage until half way (or more) off the floor, and there is no free play at top. I guess I can get used to shifting this...

3 on the tree .. just curious

I realize not Mopar specific... About when did 3 on the tree manual trans stop on US cars, whether Ford, GM, Chrysler? Anyone know when the last MoPar 3/trees were finally cast aside?

    3/tree woes

Paid a lot to have a 3 tree put in the '64 Dart Convert that had PB auto. Trans was rebuilt, but there are big column shift probs. Back in the day my original 64 Dart never had this, but that was a different car, and over 40 years ago. But the lever keeps getting stuck/jammed... some times it...

    3/tree problems

Well I paid a lot to have this PB auto '64 Dart made to 3 /tree like I had way back. Got the parts car, had transmission checked/rebuilt, etc. Still compared to my old car (yes I realize it was over 40 years ) the column shift is loose, floppy and gets stuck. Sometime it will be in neutral...

    3/tree questions

Just got the 64 Dart back that had a 3 tree put in to replace the PB auto. The only black steering column 3 tree car I could find was a rough on ( for sale now). The shifter seems kind of loose/floppy ... I remember my old one as tight and precise feeling. Of course that was 40 years ago(!) EVen...

    '64 Dart 3 speed 3 on tree

Are these supposed to be synchro in first or do you have to come to a complete stop to go into first?

    elementary question (probably)

Well, it sounds like it is do-able then. Thanks for the replies. IT may sound crazy to some but I really want the six/3-tree, not 8/auto or 4 /floor. i just have to find someone who can do the work.

    elementary question (probably)

Well, like most guys my age, I am again wanting the car I learned to drive on -- first car. 1964 Dodge Dart GT Convert. But I want one just like the one I had... the actual car was sold to friend back in '76, when I was all eaten up with Volvos ...whose girlfriend promptly wrecked it. So it...
