Also whats confusing is your covers don't have the extended spark plug wire bracket on the rear drive side to keep wires off the HP exhaust manifold?

Thanks for showing these! I have heard a couple different stories on these 340 covers.I see your covers have the bracket on the inside of the passenger cover that protects the wire loom from the heat of the intake, Because the 340 intakes were higher then the 273 318. Was told that the 68 69 70...

Are these stock 68 340 valve covers? I know what the 69 70 looks like,68 69 70 are are different correct? If not could someone post pictures of correct 68 ones Thanks !

I was having problem with leak in same area.Mine ended up being the back of the valve cover couldn't see it running down on the filter just something to check good luck.

Thanks for sharing.Maybe these are 318 4 barrel or 273? These have the tall plug wire stand for the 4 Barrel on the rear drive side.

I have been looking at other 68 340 covers on line.Seems some have the 4" half round wire loom retainer on the pass side to keep wires away from the hot intake? The 69 and 70 340 covers had these.Still not fully convinced these are 68 340 any help identifying these covers greatly appreciated Thanks

Working with stock point system, What would cause the coil to get so hot to touch and burn Distributor Lead off? The Coil is hooked up -- to Dist and + to batt.?

Putting 70 Dart back together found these brackets not sure where they go.

Thinking the same Bob I have loosen everything and still off.Maybe 3/16 shim.My son thinks I'am being to picky.Putting on back burner and working on the exhaust.

far as I can tell they only go one way?Thinking on loosing the 3 bolts on each mount and see if it will center better for I tighten mounts when engine was on the stand? noticed there's some play when loosen

the mounts have a bump that goes in a hole and then the stud so they only mount one way that I'am know of?

Installed Motor and noticed the motor doesn't sit level. Checked and it looks like its is sitting higher on the pass side but is sitting in the mounts evenly tried lifting motor back up and repositioning it but goes right back to same place.Heres some pictures.Is this just the way it is?

Installing power brakes would like to know what the fitting looks like that installs in the manifold for vacuum line theres a 3/8 pipe plug now is it like a 90 looking fitting?
