    SPI Epoxy Primer

Got the undercarriage and engine compartment primed - I like it a lot. First time I've ever picked up a spray gun, and it seems pretty forgiving. I'm happy with it. Was using a cheap Devilbiss "starting line" gun, but have purchased a Sharpe Razor to finish priming the rest of it.

    Homemade Paint Booth

Here's some pics of my booth. Use 3/4 electric conduit, and fittings you can buy online to build the frame. I used binder clips to hold the plastic on in most places, duct tape and glue as well. I'm using a SAS pure air hood to spray with - can't even smell any fumes while you're working...

    sandblast the whole car???

I blasted my Duster body using Jetmag media. No warpage, and this is the first time I've ever done something like this. Took more time to blow all the media out of the body than it did to blast it. But the results are very nice. Just keep moving, don't get too close with the gun, and use...

    SPI Epoxy Primer

I'm spraying this onto the Duster right now. First time priming/painting anything. Once I'm done with the primer I'll let you know how it turns out. A few more days and I should be done with priming it.

    sandblasting sand

We used "Jetmag" for my Duster. About $7 for 50 lbs, didn't know how much we needed for 2 cars (Duster and 56 Ford) so we bought an entire pallet of 30 bags. For both cars, used about 7 bags. Just sweep it up, strain it thru a window screen, reload, and it works just like new. So, still...

    Torque Boxes?

Not sure what gauge they are. Had to rework (ie, HAMMER TIME) them a bit for fitting. They are $250 for all 4 from autorust.com. The connectors are 2x3, I pretty much followed the Big Block Dart tech page for making them - http://www.bigblockdart.com/techpages/connectors.shtml

    fender mounted turn signals

Here's the pics - 9 inches from the front edge of the fender to the back edge of the large hole, 2 inches from the inner fender edge to the outside of the hole. The small hole is for the mounting screw. The size of the large hole should be the same as the round part of the bottom of the...

    fender mounted turn signals

I'll get some pics of my fenders today (the lights are removed so you can see the holes) and post them along with some measurements. I'll be deleting these on my car so if anyone needs the indicators let me know.

    Trim removal

I did this recently, just take your time and don't try to force it. Getting the first clip off is the hardest, easier from there on.

    Rotisserie attachment to Duster

Mostly depends on how stripped down the car is. If you've removed the engine, trans, rear end, and seats the rear bumper attachments are fine. I've got mine attached this way and no problems so far.

    glass removal

Just removed mine last night - one thing that really helps is heating the gasket up with a heat gun.

Exterior glass mouldings - how to remove?

Ok bought 2 tools, one said for Chrysler but that one didn't impress me (the red KD tool in pics). The other end with the round end was nice for separating the window gasket from the glass, after heating it with a heat gun. The MAC tool worked great, got both moldings off in about 30 min...

Exterior glass mouldings - how to remove?

Need to remove the steel mouldings around the windshield/backlite (see pic). What is the trick to doing this? Any special tools needed? Or just patience? I don't have either :D Mine are really nice and I don't want to mess them up. Thanks! super70bird
