Did Duster have insulation on bottom of hood?

No problem. it's usually very easy to tell Factory undercoating. It was thick and sprayed Everywhere on the underside. Non-factory undercoat cars would be in wheelwells and alittle overspray here and there.

Did Duster have insulation on bottom of hood?

If your car didn't have it coded for undercoating from the factory there would be no pad. I think the code for this is J54.

    1970 340 Duster with a fender tag code V02

Possibly rare? Maybe, it is an unusual combination? I would say so. Chrysler Corp. never kept paint records on car /color combinations so impossible to know for sure if it is 1 of 1. It would not be so unusual to see that combination back in the day with a black vinyl top.

    1972 Duster technical Decal Kit?

The sure grip tag is one You don't see very often on original cars so I am not sure of placement. The " follow jacking instructions" goes on the jack base plate. the anti-freeze tag would be hanging from the radiator upon delivery to dealership and would have been removed during dealer prep.

    Emblem black edge paint

all are good ideas. The way I do this is too clean emblem with 0000 steel wool and then clean it with wax and grease remover. take a 2 inch piece of masking tape and lay out with sticky side up on flat surface and press emblem down on tape. This will seal just the front side of the emblem. use...

    Ideas on Rear Quarter Replacement

Are you talking full quarters? if you are, I would not cut anything. I would clean paint off and drill spot welds out to remove old quarter. Painting sand blasted fasteners body color - how would you do it?

1 side note to this if you want them to look black pros.but not have a body color on them, like the lower fender mounting bolt, you can paint them flat black and heat them in the oven for a while to bake the finish on them. this is a old school way of doing it and will give you a close...

Proper grey color in grille and tail lights

My two cents is to use krylon silver paint and once dry use krylon semi gloss to coat. you can use any brand silver paint, just use the same brand semi gloss clear to coat. This will give you the perfect finish I have been using this system for thirty years and is the spot on match for the...
