Made it up to the track last night, was very very busy only made 3 passes with 1.5 hrs between runs. Ran my best time on first run 13.83 @ 96.63 other 2 runs had traction issues. Overall was very pleased with results, will get video posted tonight

Well I've got 1000 miles on the new combo and I must say I runs good. I maintained a lot of street driveablity I though that I would lose. Even get decent traction from a roll but from a stop it's smoke city 160 foot burn outs. I love it. Here a few progress pics got the exhaust done about 500...

I slapped some cheap-o mufflers on so I could drive her with out the law bothering me and she runs good, I'm fighting a noise in the trans right now but other than that I'm very happy with it. It will sure wrap that speedo quick compared to the ol'318 and I'm still breaking it in haven't even...

Nope I did the math 3000-3200 rpms at 70 mph with 30.5 inch tires, Really depends on how loose convertor is. You will get to see the video soon

It has a built 904 with a tf2 shift kit, as for a rear end it has a 9.25 with 3.92 and a suregrip

Mopar340dave thanks for the tips, I do have gromets installed and the braided hose is secured and not touching anything. You are right my clearance is real tight I'll see what happens when it's started and I may need to look for a different brake booster. Just have to wait and see

Here a few more update pics, got the motor primed and distributor set. Plug wires are on and I hope to fire it up next sat. will have a video when that happens !!!!!!:cheers:

And then there where headers \\:D/ also installed msd coil and ballast resistor. Installed green led in tach, and green covers on small gauges, will be saving for 3 more led bulbs

They are 2.02 magnum R/T Heads

I plan on switching to a mini after motor is broken in and I change headers. I have been told that a mini will not work with the headmans I'm going to start with

Here some more update pics. Got fuel pump wired in and started plumbing, another pic of trans cooler and a few engine bay update shots

I got the radiator finally, installed it and trans cooler. Also got gauges mocked up and now starts the wiring up. Let me know what you think of the gauges. Also have the fuel pump and some other much needed parts I keep you up to date

Here's another update, Got the alternator and power steering pump refinished and installed. Throttle linkage and kickdown is hooked up. Installed and wired in Mopar ignition system. Mocked up coil mount and refinished it. Much more to come!!!

Installed Transmission pan and a few other minor things today

So I couldn't wait until tomorrow, I pulled the booster and ground the ridges off the valve cover. I now have 3/16th to 1/4 inch of gap between valve cover and brake booster. I hope thats enough, will not know until I can fire it up (in a few months). Just have to keep the fingers crossed

Got the Engine/Trans in today. Everything went pretty good only have 1 problem to adjust - the left valve cover contacts the brake booster. I think tomorrow I'll pull the booster off and grind the back ridges of the valve cover to get the clearance needed. I wish the new motor mounts would just...

thanks for all the replies guys, memike hood would look good I'll keep you in mind if I decide to change - what size wheels do you have on the rear of that truck in the pic. I'm having a very tuff time finding wheels for this truck in the aftermarket. thinking about going with steels
