Thanks This would be the sole option on my 66 wagon! I have never seen this on a wagon.

    Fender tag help....

Anyone know the option code for disc brakes? I have read that it is D9 ???? This would be for a 1966 Valiant.

    1963 Dart Wagon 270?

If it is salvagable & the yard will sell it, get the whole car. A few items to save: Roof Rack Wind deflecters Tail Gate and pretty much anything bolted down:-D

    Starter bolt#*$)(#

Since the exhaust is not hooked up, remove the manifold for better access.

    exhausted....

Are you using the correct 64-66 273 manifold or the later style? If it is not the 64-66, they will not be able to make it work. If you have the right manifold, then I would take my buisiness elsewhere.

    Removing the starter

TIP: Don't completely remove the top bolt. Save it for last so it carries the weight instead of you.

Any factory 4 speed wagons out there?

Yeah, decided to hold on to it. Not worth dealing with the CL flakes anyway. I've got so many damn cars though, I just spin my wheels. That wagons not mine. Although I am restraining myself from going to look at it. Need another project like a hole in the head:-D.

    Valiant -62 V8 conversion

Use the early factory 273 or 340. Dakotas work too if manual steering. Some grinding to the column may be needed.

Any factory 4 speed wagons out there?

What is the fender tag code for disc brakes on a '66? Mine has the KH. Probably not original but they look like they have been on it for a long time.

    Band Adjustment?

As stated by cudamark, the bad adj. should not be causing the 3rd gear prob. The kickdown does require a return spring and MUST be functional or the trans will be on its way out sooner then later. Check the linkage from the kickdown to the trans lever. This lever (on trans)should have some...

    Band Adjustment?

Yes it is. Both bands can be adjusted. If you are having shifting issues, first check will be the kickdown linkage at the carb/firewall.

    first early a body project

If you go v8, the only real issue will be the heater box. Other than that it is a staight forward swap like any other 63-66 A. Heres a pic of the "test fit" on the Lancer.

    first early a body project

I've seen this wagon run at the local track(Woodburn), it was impressive to say the least. He is/was running a 5 speed

    first early a body project

I vote for small block. They make good power & less "issues" with the install. But if your going racing......big block it for fun. Check the /6 with a magnet, it may have an aluminum block. If so, hold on to it.

    When is a 63 not a 63?

It is a '63 B-Body model 440. 1962 was the last year for the B-Body Dart.

    273 Wagon

Sounds like a cool project. As far as rarity, they do tend to surface randomly. I would not consider it "rare" per say, but thats just my opinion. Whats the asking price? Askin aint gettin. A lot of people love the wagons but not to many will shell out the dough and/or may not have interest in...

    LHT lugs

Did you happen to call? Sometimes they get lazy and won't open a catalog to search. I got mine from Napa but that was a few years ago. Found this link also. May or may not help. http://automotivefasteners.thomasnet.com/viewitems/threaded-fasteners-rods-and-studs/wheel-studs-and-bolts

Drag link for a 63 Dart

X's 2 Also, if the engine was replaced at some point the oil pan may be of a different configuration. Either way, if mounts are good, I would just shim up both mounts to clear the centerlink.

66 Plymouth Valiant 100 Parts Interchange

Check your drag link as it may already have the needed "swoop". If not, a cheap way is use 1/4" plates under the motor mounts for any clearance issues.

Radiator... Good buy or not ?????

I agree 100% BUT I'm a firm believer in letting e-bay auctions run their course. People got to think before they list.

Radiator... Good buy or not ?????

The E-Bag seller pulled all the auction prices to "buy it now" and ended them all early. Now they are 199.95 instead of 99.99 To good to be true I think the Champion is the way to go. Thanks Guys

340 Exhaust Manifolds on Early A-Body??

Beautiful! How was the install on the drivers side? What year was the donor Durango or does it make a diff? This really helps:toothy10: My e-bay 273 manifold ended up having a busted ear.

340 Exhaust Manifolds on Early A-Body??

Just by looking at the passenger side dump.... I dont think there would be clearance at the firewall or oil filter for that matter.
