    Extension housing bushing R&R

I need to buy rent or steal one of the tools made to do this job with tranny still in the car. Really want to help get this kid down the road, and I can't seem to find one. I know the 727 and 833 use the same bushing. Hope someone can point me to a vendor.

Decided to just start a new thread and see what happens. Hoping to get some real hardcore suggestions. YR, RRR, SG, ,,hope you guys jump in. So here's the scenario: you need a clutch and pressure plate. Sold a bunch of crap so money is put aside just for this. 3040 pound Demon 4:30 rear 578...

    Check out my pressure plate

This thing has only 1 summer on it. I think it doesn't look too good......... You can see those weird hot spots at the 12 o'clock position. Think it was making a bit of noise when starting out on hills late in the year. Think I should just run it, or can it?

    Pilot bushing help.

Pulled this pilot bushing out of a scrapped Eagle crank. I'm running the bearing type in my Scat, but would love to find this bushing type. Haven't been able to find anything but bearing type for aftermarket cranks. Anyone know where I could find one of these? Yeah, it was a ***** to get out.

    Expert eyes needed

Decided to check out this tranny I got on the cheap and I think it looks really good. Only thing is the 1st and 2nd clutch sleeve gear has 2 little grooves in every tooth. They're so uniform and perfect, it looks like they are supposed to be there. Oil was nice, no metal pieces, etc. What am I...

    Shifter slop

Had my Competition Plus marked shifter apart this winter. Put new shims in, cleaned and lubed everything real nice. Now, 1000 miles into summer I find I have quite a bit of "front to back" slop, play, whatever you wanna call it. I can climb under there and hold the shift levers on the shifter...

    Whine

Hi guys! Doing an engine refresh, so thought it'd be a good time to check out a bit of a whine I had occasionally. Always the same scenario. Car cold, put in reverse or first...and just as I let the clutch out I would hear a whining sound. Goes away in a minute and won't do it again until the...

    shifter adapter?

Saw a while ago someone had developed an adapter that will allow us to use a Comp Plus shifter mechanism in our A bodies with consoles. I searched and couldn't find the post. Hope someone remembers who it was. My 41 year old stock Hurst shifter is about had it and Brewer's doesn't have the...

    Pilot bushing install....HELP

Hi guys. Stroker just got here and the pilot bushing my builder sent is pictured, along with the crank "snout". Not sure which end goes in. Seems like the non-tapered end wants to go, but I'm not sure. Also, once in it looks like the bushing is gonna be darn near flush with the crank snout...

    Quicktime or Lakewood

IMM is building a nice 500 horse smallblock motor for me and I've decided to go with a scattershield. Didn't want but I'll be racing it occasionally, so I guess I have to. So which shield is an easier install, less fabrication, etc? I don't want to cut up my car, it's an original 340 Demon...

    833 strength

So many variants......so here goes... Factory 1971 Demon 340, 4 speed. Can this tranny handle 500HP/500 Ftlbs? More important, can it handle it with a good set of slicks and a great hook up? Some oldtime Mopar dude told me my tranny will CERTAINLY be short lived once I install my new...
