I'm replacing gaskets on a 65 slant and noticed the tabs at the rear seal/oil pan are missing. Are these a necessary item. I didn't see any oil around the block just on the pan in a couple spots.

I was wondering if different years of slants have timing tabs in various spots on the timing cover or possibly none at all. I pulled the cover off one and theres no timing tab on it. If I read the block correctly its a 65

Ok so I put the slinger on in front of the crank gear like the book shows both ways and it is getting chewed up by th cover or the gear. Does this need to be in? Is it compatable with the double tooth gear? Lastly does it go between the block and gear instead? Woe is me ....

Any leads on where to get the oil slinger for the crank? Somehow, somewhere it got lost.

After removing all the paint & 12 lbs of bondo's on the 67 gt's passenger fender I find it's not the original and all the holes for the GT trim are homemade. Everythings off by 1/4 to 3/4", no hole for the fender turn signal. Here I thought I had an all original 67 /6 gt. :sad8: Anyone have a...
