Loop or Essex? Need new carpet! Opinions welcome.

I just changed up my column shift 3spd auto car to a non-console 4spd manual. Along with this obviously comes the need for new carpeting. It looks like there are two general choices in reproduction carpets: loop or "Essex." Loop is sold as the basic factory type stuff. Essex looks like the...

Modern seatbelt retrofit - who makes these?

I believe these have been discussed on the forum but I have been messing around with the search feature and I just can't seem to find the thread. There are at least a couple of companies that make three point seat belts that can be retrofit into our cars. IIRC, they offer a kit for bucket seat...

Fellow rednecks: Anyone using their removed bench seat as "furniture" :D

So I finally have some bucket seats, reinforcement plates, sliders and mounting hardware ordered up! Aside from drilling some holes in the floor, I always try to preserve the option to put the car back to factory stock. Keeping the factory bench (which is in pretty good shape) clean and dry...

Aftermarket bucket seats into a bench seat car- concerns and considerations?

First, it looks like us bench seat folks will need to install floor reinforcements similar to what the factory bucket cars had. Is it correct to say that these must be welded or is a bolt-in application acceptable? Auto Metal Direct 407-1067-S: Bucket Seat Floor Mounting Bracket Set for...

Typical cost for quality re-upholstery job on an old bucket seat?

It goes without saying that this cost will vary quite a bit depending on the type of seat, materials, condition of the foam, location, etc. But what would is a ballpark cost of to having a bucket seat covered in OEM-looking vinyl upholstery? What did you pay? Would you do it again?

    MOMOMopar (Did I stutter?)

I’m not loving the Grant Tuff Wheel replica that I installed a couple years back. It looks pretty good but unlike a real one, the rim is very hard, the metal spokes need some attention with a file...and even if it was perfect, I’m finding that the standard “everybody does it” mods aren’t super...

Bending turn signal lever to clear aftermarket wheel-- advice?

I posted in another thread about my installation of the Grant 846/Tuff wheel clone...the spacer that comes with the installation kit only moves the wheel small amount away from the column and isn't sufficient for stock installation. However, I really like the extra arm extension that the more...

Suggestions for aftermarket buckets- light, supportive...period correct looking too?

Is there such a seat? I'd love to keep the interior of my Dart all stock. The original vinyl on the bench is in decent shape (a few minor tears on the driver's seat, otherwise very clean)...but the seat is a major hinderence to enjoying the car on the back roads, even with stock suspension...

Vinyl interior tears- best way to manage without replacing?

The original interior in my Dart is in good shape with the exception of a tear in the vinyl on the seat part of the bench. Can anyone suggest the best way to conceal/arrest the tear? I suspect that replacing the whole vinyl panel would be best way but I'd prefer to keep as much of the...
