Okay so. At my finger tips I have a Dana 44 and a 8 3/4. I'm wondering which I should install. Currently I'm running a mild 318 that will be swapped out later. It has a 7 1/4 behind it. Which one of those two would be stronger, have the most/cheapest aftermarket gears, and what not?

I can't remember where I read it, but somewhere I saw that all A-Body 8 3/4 rear ends are SBP. Can anybody shed some light on this? Also can you use a B-Body 8 3/4 on an A-Body car without much modification?
