i read somewhere you can use a turbo 400 seal and it works better. I've ordered a couple from the local parts store and they didn't work. anybody had success and what part number did you use?

Picked up a 727 core a few years ago for a case of hamms. Plan on getting a bolt in unit and swapping the guts out.

Needed a little cleaning and adjusting. The detent arm did not line up centered. It would come off its track going into first and get stuck between the reverse lockout lever. Bent the arm out slightly seems to be working ok.

Was able to get it working with the jegs throttle cable bracket.

Sealing up the transmission leaks. Found out the 904 dipstick tube I was using on my 727 has a different mounting tab. It caused the tube to be crooked inside the pan hole. The new one fits great.
