.020 Steel Head Gasket Mopar Perf

Can anyone tell me if you have to use any sealant when installing the .020 steel head gasket on the RB blocks? I have a Mopar Perf steel head gasket and need to know if sealant is required or install as is?

If you know your decks and heads are flat, they should work without anything. that's the way the factory put them on. I put mine on dry and I hit my 383 with a 150 shot and no problems so far. Some people like to coat them. I guess its just personal preference.

I Ran These On My 440, I Sprayed Both Sides With Permotex Hi-tack Sealer. I Never Had Any Concerns. Be Sure That The Heads & The Block Deck Is True & Flat.

I always used them dry. careful 3 stage torquing too.
