do you ever get in the bad door by mistake?

Hi if you remember I am the one that you let my grandsons play inside your car on a friday night test and tune.I told you about this site.Welcome and I hope you like it.We will be seeing each again.I am still working on the barracuda. Mark

Ok Many questions lol Yes it is 93 pump gas. Actually have tryed getting in the back door a few times. Having a four door makes doing four link adjustments very easy since i have a removable rear floor and bulk head. I run 2 different size rear tires hoosier 29.5 x 11.5 w and 30.5 x 11.5 w. I did have to cut the rear quarters out a little bit. And yes i do remember you fom maple grove. Glad to hear that you will be out racing shortly

Cheap electric fuel pump haha And a far as carb... It depends on what heads im using at the moment and weather I use anywhete from a pro form 650 vacuum secondary, 750 quick fuel mech secondary, 850 proform mechanical, or a 950 quick fuel mechanical. I change between my indy heads and my edelbrocks depending on what kind of racing im doin per season. Right now my indys are damaged badly from a dropped valve.

I saw you run at Maple Grove Mopar weekend and was very impressed! Do you know the root cause of the dropped valve? Were you using the valve locks that came with the heads?

Also the green 2 dr valiant is my daily driver Slant 6 Goes 18.60's at 70 mph in the 1/4 haha

Here's another '66 Valiant that goes 10.70s:

Too bad you guys live so far apart... (he's in South Dakota.) or you could have an interesting match race!!!

Or, you could build a turbo motor for your other (slant six) car and have a PAIR of 10-second '66 Valiants!!! But, you can only drive one at a time... LOL!

Here's a couple of pics of mine, which is brand new and we are HOPING it will run decently. It'a a close copy of the car in the video, mechanically. It may take us years to get our car tuned to run like his, if we EVER do... but we're tryin'!!!

Thanks a lot for sharing your pictures; that's a killer 4-door, for sure!!! Nasty looking, too!!!

Thank you all for the comments. As far as my indy heads i here the keepers and rockers with the kit from indy are junk. My pushrod hopped up on the edge of the lifter and when it opened the valve it just pushed it right out of the keepers. Ive had 3 machine shops look at the head and they couldnt fix it....so when the moneys there ill send them back to indy. Very nice cars to the owners who posted pics. The black car will eventually be tube chassied with a blown big block but that is on hold till the economy turns around. As far as my slant six car.... I am looking at getting the blower manifold from aussiespeed and puttingna 4-71 on it. The green car is just gonna stay a slant 6. Ill have to find updated pics. Most of the body work is done on it and i got a nicer set of wheels on it. Those are jus two of my cars, i also have a 99 dakota r/t that was running 12's but grenaded the engine and its just sitting and im building a 78 dodge warlock for my dad to race next year.

Bill, where in South Dakota is this guy? I too am in South Dakota (Rapid City) and would love to see this car in person some time. Thanks!

Go on you tube and search sean renteria, he has a tube chassis 64 valiant running 5.80's in the quarter....and its a 4 door.

Wow bill you definetly have a nice turbo setup on that car. May i ask what header is that or is it custom built?

Wow bill you definetly have a nice turbo setup on that car. May i ask what header is that or is it custom built?

My partner and I searched high and low for a commercially-avilable slant six turbo header and couldn't find one for sale anywhere in 2010.

As far as I know, that hasn't changed.

So, we did what we had to do: We built our own.

I should say, my partner, Freddie, built our own because all I did was order the pieces, haul it around to get it welded up, and haul it around some more to get it ceramic-coated. He did ALL the work; all of it!

Neither of us can weld at all, so he cut the pieces to fit, and used adhesive tape (I'm not making this up!) to hold it together until a welder could attach all the pieces using a T.I.G. machine. Neither of us had ever builrt a header before.

So, I wish I could tell you where to go to buy one, but I can't. You can either do it yourself, or hire it done... If anyone has better information, please correct me.

Thanks for the kind words, BTW. I think he did a good job, especially for a 73-year-old, first-timer.
