1963 Dodge Dart 270 Convertible for the Wife

Absolutely! I may have questions once I get to start putting everything back together, but at least now I should be able to get everything apart without breaking anything.

Actually, I do have one question. One the Dart 270 door badge, do the 'clips' that hold them on come off? Or did you break them? I noticed when you went to reinstall them, you covered the clips with epoxy.

I did not break them but they were getting loose so this was preventative.

Gotcha! Totally makes sense.

Also, where did you buy the window mohair strips and Steele rubber u-channel?

It came with a new convertible top with a glass window still in a box in the trunk. The one on it is plastic and is missing.
I dont think you're going to get that glass to lay flat in the well with the top down. Maybe that's why it's not installed. That would be cool if it worked but the way the well is designed I don't think there is enough room for glass from the back of the seat to the back of the trunk.

It was actually a top for an 880. The previous owner bought the wrong top.

New 6 leaf springs from Springs and Things along with 340 torsion bars from Alan Shrock on the slant. This is a new car! What a difference.

Spring Fling is over. Met a few FABO members this weekend and the Dart was well received. Got a couple pats on the back. First place in the Restified class (3-7 changes) and Jay Leno’s car painter gave me a nice complements on my bodywork and paint finishing. His car was stunning.

Finally got someone who has been around slants and early A Bodies to drive my slant and tell me how it runs compared to stock slants and 273s. I’m not sure the smile has come off @273commando ‘s face yet.
