Hope to be working on the Dart again in the next 2 weeks, the goal is to have it on the road so I can drive it to my wedding this year! Got some hustling to do..

Any progress?

Not just yet though I have picked up some brake parts (front calipers and 11 x 2 brakes for the rear)

Spent the last 2-3 weeks picking at the GTX, converted the fronts to 11.75" disc and currently I'm working in the rear to change the car back to 11 x 2.5" and install the 4.10's

I suppose I should mention that I had the GTX spiffed up last fall with fresh paint and reinstalled the tunnel ram.

At the end of the month going to try and head up to The Valley and make a 10 second pass.

Any progress?

If all goes well, car will be in the bay in 2-3 weeks.

Currently the '71 SSP is being hustled into driving shape for possible sale (or keeping) in the spring and the Dart will be on deck once the SSP is off the lift.

Plan is to clean the underside and coat with something like lizard skin while the engine is being assembled in the workshop along with the fuel injection. I might even be throwing money at it to speed the process along. Rather than freshen up the 4-speed I have I'll just buy one outright from Brewers along with some other pieces.

I'd like to hit the streets in the spring.

On the SSP I have reskinned the front seats, pulled a head to replace a bad valve, new valve springs and seals, new power steering box seal, repainting the motor the correct color, replaced a weak starter and in the process of repairing the headliner and working on fixing the horn pad and fuel lines.

Still working on the SSP, some delay while waiting for parts. Road test went good, pulled the dash to replace the pad, get the speaker re-coned, replace the steering wheel and lube the speedo cable.

Waiting for the proper dash paint to come in from Herb's.

Snort. That was a long 2-3 weeks, more like 12 months! Been a lot of stuff on my plate including changing jobs, a new furnace, a new roof and several car projects.

Currently here is-

The Dart
The Duster (ran low 13's last year)
The GTX (no work I can think of)
The SSP (Lots of work last spring)
The Truck (minor work last year)
The Challenger (daily driver)
The Reliant (no work... yet)
Turbo Rampage (lots of work last year, rebuilt engine and other issues)
Two 1987 CSX (going to be joined by a 3rd next week!) lots of work here.
And the wife's Avenger.

Dart will be on the lift in the next 48 hours so we can clean up the underside. Found a set of Dougs Headers for the car last week and they are on the way along with a 360 oil pan for the magnum motor.

great thread! On your dash bezel resto... A friend recently gave me a tip of trying a quality chrome finger nail polish in an air brush gun to restore bezels with. I've never tried it yet, but thought I'd pass on the info.

Thanks! I'm content with how mine came out though. More of a street car/fun ride than a restoration. Looks far better than my first Dart which had no headliner and was a rat rod/sleeper.
