My dad has a 1967 Dart GT with manual steering. I rebuilt the coupler because the top seal cap pulled away from the coupler during removal. When installing the seal and cap, I could not get a good, tight secure seal of the steel cap with those chinsy tabs. IMO, poor design for proper sealing and weak tabs (they like to bend from fatigue and tend to break off. They are a "one-shot-louis" when securing them, and, of course, I didn't get the seal I needed the first time around); anyway, I want to convert the factory coupler and seal to a steering knuckle to eliminate the coupler all together. What do y'all recommend for this conversion for only on the manual steering box? I don't want to convert to power steering or have to replace the manual box with a power steering box. I have seen the the Flaming River manual conversion but what other options are there? Borgeson seems to use their own steering box for the A-body. Any and all suggestions accepted. Thank you in advance...
