If it had stainless then it wasn't factory, it came from a 68-up Dart. You have to install the clips before the gasket and windshield, what gasket did you use? That is also a 68-up piece. If you used the correct 67 gasket then the plastic with imbedded stainless trim just pushes in the gasket, and has stainless corners...

I used the Precision 1967 gasket, the metal rigid trim was removed from the old windshield when it was removed the old windshield was scratched. Thank You for your help maybe I should get the plasticwith embedded metal.

I redid our 67 cuda a couple years back and swapped to stainless steel trim. Like mentioned above it requires clips and gaskets. Best to post pics.
Word of advice, call the stainless either SS or stainless. When you say "rigid" some may take it as either stainless or the mylar, cuz the mylar is somewhat rigid.
Post pics to help get you the right answers.
Heres a thread i started when doing mine.
68/9 barracuda windshield stainless clips
Thank you may go this route if we cannot figure out how to install the rigid metal. Come to think about it when the rigid metal and windshield were removed there were trim clips. My guess late 1967 getting ready for 1968?
