1968 Barracuda fastback cloning to 340 4 speed

I did some brain dismantling ::: thinking everything out……..
My new thought is when I wired in to the fuse block for the tachometer placing the post into the back of fuse panel might have moved a hot feed across to accessories or visa verse? I’ll check that first today. Fingers crossed

OK found part of the problem… with this yellow wire removed from the drivers side kick panel, everything is working correctly and accessories are working with key in position. Interior lights come on when door is opened only using headlight switch interior lights in back do not function when unplugged. Appears to have had a problem in the past.. hmmmm 80% resolved.

Be careful Bill, I totally rewired our cuda from dash back, and the part in your hand feeds the rear as well as cargo light.
THAT cargo light bulb socket is EXTREMELY close to metal. I would think about either rewiring from there back and wrapping the socket holder in tape as an insulator.

Unfortunately …… after leaving the exhaust shop got on highway opened it up and a replaced freeze out plug blew out on the rear side of engine….
Stay tuned transmission coming back out. Will replace with something MADE IN USA.
But you should have seen the burn out I did car is FKN AWSOME!!!

That sucks about the freeze plug. I have started using the brass ones, and use the copper gasket goo that has an applicator/dobber thing that is part of the cap. I'm glad you have the car about done. I had the exact same thing happen to a 71 Challenger that I had traded for. Replacing the freeze plug in the back of the motor turned into swapping the 904 to a 727, swapping the 7 1/4 to an 8 3/4, TTI headers, new exhaust, a Comp cam, LD4B intake and an Edelbrock 1406, 15 x 7 Rallye wheels and new tires. From a bad freeze plug! LOL

are you going to 'sniff' some black (rattlecan?) over the white overspray that shows under the rear end (springs, tank etc) and all round if it's the same?
neil.
After I pressure wash the underside, I’ll rattle a few, and still have to spray the rocker panels agent light silver.

Just had to share my friend John’s 1971 Plymouth GTX HE’S THE ORIGINAL OWNER. And had a full restoration done 10 years ago… also Nick’s in Canada did his engine to factory specs after having engine upgrades done years ago he wasn’t happy with. It’s absolutely beautiful.
