I know...I'm asking for the impossible. I have a '68 GTS and I'm in need of the deck lid trim panel for my car. Looking for a nice restorable piece without pitting and major damage (especially around the trunk lock hole). I'll take either the GTS or GT panel. I'll pay extra to build a box or strong container so UPS or FedEx won't bend it in half. I would drive to get it if you are close to the Detroit area. If you have one or know of one, I would be forever grateful. I'm new to this site, but so far folks on here have been very nice and helpful to me! Many thanks !!

May I suggest " sono-tube " to ship that kinda stuff. (Dashboards, dashpads, rear panel.)
It's the round "cardboard" tube used to pour concrete into for a pillar/piling.
Available most building supply stores.
Being round, it doesn't get stuff pilied on it, it usually ends up in a corner or on top of stuff.
The usual delivery ape can jump and smash it against street signs, knock you front stairs off with it, and the stuff wrapped in bubble wrap inside stands a pretty good chance of survival.
That's been my experience, - learned the hard way.
Carpet tubes work great for chrome trim.

Good luck

Like this? It’s been in the wild for forty years. Kim
