1969 Dart 340 Swinger Steering Column ID?

I recently acquired a 1969 Dodge Dart 340 Swinger 4 -Speed. The steering column has a "Crush Tube" (see picture) around the column. I've been told the 69 Swinger did not come with the Crush Tube? Can anyone confirm this? Any assistance/information is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jim.

I've got a '69 Swinger and a '69 Dart Custom (parts car), both have crush tubes. Top pic is the Custom, one owner car, bone stock.

Not my actual steering column. I didn't know how to describe the piece, so I took the picture is off the internet. Looking for knowledgeable people to inform me of authenticity.

Every Mopar steering column starting in the 1967 model year had a collapsible steering column. Part of a federal mandate as far as I know.
