We are getting the Dart mobile so I can take it in and out of the garage for sanding. I was going to put the gauge cluster back in because I needed the car to run. Now I am thinking I dont need to (or want to). All I need to do is make sure the feed wires are connected together (used to go to ammeter). Sound right? I dont want to put the gauges back in yet because I need to drop the windshield wiper assembly down so I can strip and paint in the little hole.

Mine are. I rewired a bit. I have a 60 AMP fuse between everything (except the starter) and the battery. Regardless, I will be securing them.

Thanks!

Yup, just bolt the two ammeter wires together and wrap some electrical tape around any bare metal so it doesn't ground out anywhere. Same goes for any other bare connectors or wire ends that have power, or will have when the key is turned on.

Slacker. Don't be lazy. Just think of all the exercise you'll get pushing that car in and out of the garage.
Just kidding. LOL
