I have a '69 Dart Swinger also that I'm restoring. I have two engines, the original and another '69 340 motor that I plan to build as more of a competition motor. What kind of heads are you using - they look like aluminum. Thanks. fastdart69

If you have a spare '69 340 motor can you post the vin# in the "new" lost and found section on here? Some people are looking for their #'s matching motors and it would be greatly appreciated to someone maybe. It's a long shot but you never know!!

its was around 4200.00 for the strip derust and ecoat but i think if you plan on keeping the car its the best way to go.

Lookin' good! What you've done so far looks real good. I love 69 Darts too. I bought a gold Swinger 318, column shift auto, tan bench seat deluxe interior car new in Sept. 69, enjoyed it and learned a lot about working on cars as I did typical mods to it, 4bbl, cam, headers, duals, 8.75 suregrip axle. Unfortunately, it got rear-ended and totaled in 74. I found another 69 Swinger right at the same time that had minor front-end damage, and it was a 340 4sp. car! Paid $400 for it. Took pieces from the first car, and swapped on disc brakes as well. That car was a lot of fun, looked very plain with dog dish hubcaps and a basic flat hood, surprised a lot of people. Unfortunately, it too got rear-ended, by a drunk on Christmas eve. Merry fn Christmas! Hope you have better luck with your car and get to enjoy it for a long time.
