Hey all. Looking for some pics of the horns/location on a 70 Swinger, Im pretty sure the wimpy sounding single horn I have isnt factory, so Id like to see some pics of what others have so I know what to go looking for.
Thanks FABO :)

That is VERY helpful, thanks so much. Are your horns Sparton or Prestolite?
And of course a previous owner mounted a coolant recovery tank right in the horn location on my car... D'OH
Wimpy single horn was indeed standard equipment. Dual horns were a de luxe fitment either by option or by option package.
Thanks much Dan, perhaps it IS the factory horn then

I just drove a factory original 70 Dart Swinger today and it has a single horn on the right front core support, only higher option cars got dual horns...

Thanks! Mine has a single horn on the right rad support also, only "inside" the support, between the support and grille. It may have been moved there to accommodate a coolant recovery tank

Yes, they are all mounted at the factory on the engine side of the core support. This is an original paint/interior 318 70 Swinger that has a 383 installed...

all three of my Darts, including the LL23 low option Swinger all had dual horns. All the replacement under hood wiring harnesses from M&H have the double terminal wire for 2 horns so maybe your is just a bolt on and plug in process. The last set I bought (3 years ago) came as a pair and were powder coated which makes keeping that odd shaped horn looking nice

Yup, my factory harness has a double terminal also. So I guess Im on the lookout now for a dual pair of horns, then Ill have to relocate my recovery tank to be able to mount them in the factory position
