My Mopar rear axle dimension guide says yours should be about 57.5 drum to drum which is what I have. All 63-72 had that meas. on A body cars.
Thank you sir. If you get to it measure the drum to drum for total width. The 43" ctr to ctr for the springs is correct to my needs.. I'm sure thinking about it. You'll have TO HAVE AN OLD WIRE BRUSH TO SEE THE CASTING #. Should be on the lower right center casting not on the axle housing. Thanks again.[/QUOTE
Had to go out to the business so I went by the hangar again and looked at the rear end again. Scraped and brushed some more. No luck on a number. No number on the axles either. It is measuring 51” from drum plate to drum plate.
Things worked out with the Ebay seller but this is good info to have on my board when the owner brings it back again which is almost certain. Im still brooding over Norms offer on that Barracuda rear end. That higher rear gear would make a difference in this car. Thanks for your help. Yall taught me a lot in 4 days!Joel, If this is a non sure (open) grip rear. The parts you need are spider (pinion) gear part number 2404 195
Also recommend axle end gears part number 2404 194

If a sure grip rear, lots of luck.
Just a FYI:A new cut to fit Ford 9"rear end w/driveshaft is over $3000 or more now & she just can't afford that right now. Joel
