Nice job on that hood, looks awesome. Your car makes me sick, it will be so awesome when it's done, wish I had skills like that!

Thanks!

I've been calling around and people want to charge $150 to machine out the center hub area. The wheel only cost me $125.

I figured it would run like $50 or close to have it machined, guess not. Might be looking at getting different wheels.

Curiosity got the best of me so last night I took the dremel to it and ground it out for an hour. I still have an hour plus of grinding to do to get that damn lip off the inside and make it fit sung.
I ******* hate grinding aluminum because it wads up in the bits or discs or whatever the hell i'm trying to use. It it doesn't end up working, I'll make a coffee table out of it.

More then likely I'll end up going with some 17x8 Torque Thrust M's up front and 18x10 in the back.

Use WD-40 when grinding alum as a lubricant. It will keep things cool and your bit wont plug up.

WAAA POW!!

Amazing how much less time one spends cleaning bits when you use WD40.
THANK YOU needsaresto!

Time to get a tire on it and see what issue arise.

Glad it worked out for you. They look great on the car

Keep us updated, I am basing all modifications on your trial and error. It seems like we are doing the same build, with the same parts, bought from the same FABO members. LOL, good luck.

Guess I have kind of made myself a Guinea pig :)

The Mustang II hub cap looks at home sticking through the wheel.
I just barely placed the cap on because they are a ***** to get off.

There's a guy on youtube that opened up some wheels for a chevy truck or something with a router. He used a wood cutting bit and took it slow. That's what I plan on trying with mine when I get to that point. btw, I'm watching your build it looks awesome, keep up the good work!

Tuesday was a good day.

Started on the rear shock mounts. Not doing anything fancy or running any crazy shocks.
Just some cheap Napa ones for now.

I forgot to mention how much I love Badarts radiator support.

Excellent spot to jack the car up.

Body work starts this week.

Need to buy some rear leaf springs.

Need to buy some rear leaf springs.

Which ones are you thinking about? I already installed the Hotchkis Leafs on the rear of my Dart, I am hoping they match up well, stance wise with front suspension when I get it.
The sway bar looks great.

Looking at the Hotchkis and ESPO springs.

Have any recommendations?
